Menu breaks when match starts while making a custom build

I was queued for a game, and while waiting I went into the custom build menu and started making a build. Before I could save, a game started. Once in game, if I open the menu, I get the build screen, and I cant close it to go back to main menu. Tried saving a build, but that broke my shop menu. Had to close and reopen the game.

Where do you go to create a custom build to save it? Been looking for the button in the buy screen but don't see it anywhere, might be blind, lol.
