This isn't by any means a bug, but I was wondering whether there was a 'lore' reason that McGinnis' Turrets dropped souls upon their demise (other than just dropping souls to reward players for eliminating it since it is like a minion)
According to her lore, it seems she has experience in using refined souls. Her other abilities also have 'spirit or soul-like' names like 'Medicinal Specter' and 'Spectral Wall'.
So it may be safe to assume, lore-wise, that the turrets aren't just machinery and are somewhat alive.
