If McGinnis is silenced when the wall is travelling, it's not possible to erupt the wall with M1, and there's very little feedback to the player regarding this. It is however still possible to erupt the wall by tapping M2 or pressing 3. This also makes it impossible to shoot until the wall has been erupted.
