Magic Carpet cancelled by persistent abilities that inflict debuffs

Not sure if this happens with every ability in the game but so far I've had it happen with both McGinnis and Paradox.

With McGinnis, it seems a turret hitting an enemy that was not previously debuffed will cancel the carpet. See: https://forums.playdeadlock.com/threads/mcginnis-t1-turret-debuff-cancels-magic-carpet.18623/

Just tried Paradox with Magic Carpet and it was cancelled a lot of times throughout the match. Further testing in sandbox confirms that only the application of new debuffs cancels the carpet. An enemy passing through the time wall will cancel it. The bomb will also cancel it but only if an enemy steps inside the area of effect after activating the carpet. An enemy already inside the bomb will not cancel a carpet.

The pattern looks to be any debuff applied forces the carpet to be turned off. The item will still channel and provide the shields but the carpet is disabled after the channel finishes if an enemy (that was not already debuffed) is debuffed from that point forward.
 
It seems McGinnis' bugs with carpet has been fixed, but the Paradox ones remain. It also cancels the carpet if an enemy steps into your trap as Talon after channeling.
