Lumen
A hero based on the Mothman cryptid

Lumen is of a species of mothlike creatures, that dwells in the darkest corner of the Outer Planes, who was transported to New York through a small rift. They are quite skittish and usually only comes out during the night. The citizens of New York see the silhouette of Lumen, claiming to have seen a monster-like Mothman, spawning the cryptid legend we all know today.
Seeing the moon for the first time, Lumen fell in love with its gorgeous glow and yearned to share its beauty with the rest of their people. Their wish for the Patron is bringing their kin to New York.
I imagine Lumen as a they/them given they are quite a big icon in the non-binary community.
Overall design is primarily dark grey and white. The dark colours to blend in with the shadows and the white feathers/fur to shimmer in the light of the moon. I wanted light to be a big part of Lumen's design, given moths are drawn to the light, like many other insects. I'd like for light as a theme to be present in the moth creatures' culture and appearance.

As for their kit, a kind user named ElemAngell (elemangell1225) from the official Deadlock Discord helped coming up with an idea, which incorporates the dark/light theme:
- Weapon: Phaser Ray: Charges up before firing a beam of light forwards. Has a ~1.3x damage multiplier when first fired that decays to a ~0.7x multiplier over about 1 second, encouraging strategic burst fire. Holding Alt-Fire pre-charges the beam (similar to Bebop).
- Ability 1: Light Dusting: Fires a cluster of small, fast-moving scales forwards, using all charges at once. The scales deal spirit damage a stacking debuff that increases your weapon damage against targets hit. Taking weapon damage generates charges for this ability. Has 3 charges.
- Ability 2: Misdirection: Cover yourself in your wings and vanish for a brief duration, becoming intangible. While intangible, you may choose a nearby location to reappear with a burst of spirit damage. Before reappearing, a eye-shaped mark is placed at your destination, as well as several decoy marks around your original location to confuse enemies.
- Ability 3: Nocturnal Habitat: Create an area of impenetrable shadow that obscures you and your allies while inside it, while also granting a small amount of bullet resist.
- Ability 4: Lunar Blessing: Call upon the moon to shine its light downwards, creating a slowly-moving beam of light that heals allies over time and amplifies their damage (this is just Juno's Ult from OW but it fits the kit really well lol).

Ability suggestion^^
For their Phaser Ray primary weapon, the design would be based on an old lamp (as also suggested by ElemAngell). I can't for the life of me draw weapons, so you'd have to use your imagination
