Controller/Off-Carry Hero Concept: Lockheed, Aberrant Airman

Lore: A thrill-seeking urchin, Ezekiel Lockheed spent his youth in the Cursed Apple leaping off buildings, riding ziplines, and evading angry policemen. His magnum opus, however, came on his 22nd birthday, when he broke into a high-security Fairfax hangar and took an experimental aircraft for an ill-fated joyride around the city skyline. When he was dragged out of the wreckage by ETS soldiers, he was sure he’d be left beaten in a ditch…or worse.
Instead, he found himself with a fresh set of fatigues and a job as a test pilot for Fairfax R&D.
Three years later, Lockheed took off in a prototype high-altitude airframe, set to climb closer to space than any pilot before. It was supposed to be a short test flight, with his landing scheduled a mere hour from departure.
There was something in the sky.
Two weeks later, Lockheed’s battered plane scraped across the Fairfax runway, its metal crackling with eldritch energy. But warped wingtips and twisted propellers weren’t the only things changed. Lockheed stumbled off the tarmac with a Voice in his head and a gate in his arm. Feeling strangely called to the Patrons, he returned to the heart of the Cursed Apple to test his newfound powers and seek answers. The Voice is getting louder.
Weapon: The Ace
A faithful sidearm, Lockheed’s trusty 1911 has gotten him out of (and, often, into) many a jam. After his encounter with the spatial anomaly, the pistol began feeling colder beneath his hand, and, somehow, hungry? …Sometimes it’s best not to ask.

Notes:
This concept was primarily inspired by the lack of an airman/pilot character in the roster, something I feel gels well with the 1940's/50's design space that Deadlock occupies.
I know this probably isn't the most balanced set of abilities, but I hope there's at least something compelling in terms of playstyle/kit!

- Gale Force - Lockheed channels magic through his changed arm, pulling spectral winds from the world beyond. Throw a vortex of empowered air, dealing spirit damage in an 8m radius and pulling enemies in.
- T1 - Damage increased by X
- T2 - Charges increased to 2, c/d reduced by 4s
- T3 - Radius increased by 8m, reduces Dark Revelation c/d by 1s/hero hit
- Otherworldly Glare - Lockheed flips his visor up, marking an enemy with a surge of eldritch power. Reduces enemy target’s damage resistances and marks them, allowing Lockheed to see them through terrain.
Cooldown - 35s
Cast Range - 20m
- Passive - Gain 0.5% spirit lifesteal each time this debuffs an enemy hero
- T1 - Cast range increased by 10m
- T2 - Reduce target’s movement speed by 20% and dash distance by 30%
- T3 - Cooldown reduced by 15s
- Jetstream - Lockheed empowers himself with spectral energy. Gain increased movement speed, jump height, and dash distance. Gravity’s effect is significantly reduced. Weapon damage while airborne increased by 10%.
Cooldown: 30s
- T1 - +1 stamina
- T2 - Duration increased by 5s
- T3 - Weapon damage boost while airborne increased from 10% to 20%
- Dark Revelation - Lockheed briefly opens the gate in his arm, exposing nearby enemies to a glimpse of the realm beyond. This exposure deals minor spirit damage and curses enemies in Lockheed’s line of sight. Movement is limited to 25% base speed during channeling.
Duration: 3s
Curse Duration: 2.5s
- T1 - Movement during channeling increased to 50% base speed
- T2 - Duration increased by 3s
- T3 - Curse duration increased by 2.5s
