Little helpers following dead troopers

Rem's little helpers when casted on troopers frequently get stuck following dead troopers;

Match id 611169977 the second little helper I cast gets stuck on the full 50 second following cooldown even though the trooper it is following was killed shortly before; From some testing it seems that meleeing the troopers. The tropper gets stuck again later in the match even when not being melee killed by Sinclair but it was meleed at some point (dies at ~2:50) ; This happens again at ~ 6:04 when sinclair kills the trooper again.

Experienced this or something similar just now. I sent a little helper to follow a trooper but it died the same second I casted, and my helper was just gone for quite a while and completely unusable for half the match, until I died and got them all back.
