Perhaps im a strange creature but I use m1 to jump and space to shoot, when changing these setting you can no longer use your ultimate cast early when locked on heros during lash's ultimate. Even when changing the cancel ability key to match your fire key the bug persists. Could be hotfixed by giving lash an extra bind(called early ultimate cast) or tying the lash's early ult cast to the fire key.
Basically this bug would happen to anyone who changes the fire key. Even when in the ability description it will tell you the key your fire is tied too to cast the ult early, just odd (and frustating) spamming spacebar to throw your enemies after locking on and it just canceling the ultimate outright, this bug also persists when using the ult as Sinclair. I haven't tried it myself I assume if fire were a different button it'd lead to lash just floating there while spamming whatever button and nothing happening lol.
