After using kinetic dash, even when at full ammo, you can press R and it will reset your ammo and fire rate, you can even hear the reload sound. If you try doing it while hearing the reload sound you can't reset it, but afterwards it works again - This only happens with shiv for some reason? but I haven't tested all heroes.
Regardless of hero, if you shoot, say, one bullet, you are allowed to reload your weapon and reset the ammo and fire rate. This actually reduces your ammo size. I think it should give extra ammo like vampiric burst so you can't reload until you've used the extra ammo.
