When you kinetic dash and get the +5 bonus ammo if you are under your max ammo plus the 5 bonus ammo but above your normal max ammo if you reload the game "reloads" your weapon and you are dropped to your max ammo. This does not happen with the bonus ammo from melee charge so I assume this is a bug.
E.G. You have 10 ammo max. You kinetic dash so now you have 15/10. You take 1 shot to drop to 14 and reload. The reload animation plays out and afterwards you are dropped back to 10 ammo.
