Keep Getting disconnect by VAC

Just had this happen as well strangely enough. Did pretty much anything that people seem to recommend and nothing, it wouldn't let me reconnect. Unsure yet if this is persisting since I rather not ruin more matches right now, but annoying.

I am also having this issue and I've repaired steam,verified the files,restarted my pc,and the game itself,and even checked my firewalls.

As I haven't had this same issue, I can't say whether or not this will work, but you could try flushing/clearing the DNS resolver cache.

On windows, open the command prompt and run the command:

ipconfig /flushdns

On linux, follow this guide, as it's a slightly different series of commands:

I hope this helps, though it could be any number of issues.

fix this shit it keeps happening for months

once every 50 games when you restart the game this pops up and then you get a penalty

and you definitely need to restart the game every couple of games because it starts lagging and spiking and my fps goes from 140 to 40 in the middle of the game

"Disconnected from Server" "Valve Anti-Cheat challenge timed out. Please ensure that you are not using any programs that may interfere with VAC. from this day 24/9/24 I keep getting the same error - already did : Restart PC - Unistall and install game again - Delete the Deadlock folder - Re-install Steam launcher and run the repair. but going on public match make me get kick from the game by VAC.

(IMG in SPA). anyone else is having the issue with this last quit is the third time.. with a penalty on the next match.

Hello I have had the same issue for the first time today in a ranked game: Match ID: 27642756. I got kicked just as the timer was running down. With the same error message when attempting to rejoin. I have over 300 hours played on this game without any previous issues, no VAC Ban (obviously) and nothing on my system has changed from when it was working fine and this new issue.

I have now uninstalled and reinstalled the game and steam but am now temporarily banned for abandoning matches (I had to abandon one last night due to another bug which I posted last night on the forums about the game keeping me in lobby after the game had ended)...

Uninstall and reinstall of Steam seems to have done the trick... for now. Just played a game without being kicked.

Hey there, I have had this issue now for the last 5? or so games, couldn't get into the first 4 without a VAC disconnect at the lobby and have tried every fix in this thread and others. After reinstalling deadlock I got about 10 minutes into a game before there was a sudden fps spike then got disconnected.

It feels bad being put into low priority queue for a problem I seemingly have no control over.

Here are the Match ID's: 28891136, 28874545, 28789538

Looking at it now it seems like 2 of the games didn't even get passed the lobby because of this issue.

i had the same issue.
after 15-20 mins i could reconnect but that was too late. i received a 24 hrs ban for leaving. ty valve <3 appreciate it.

I've tried this one and it works like a champ:

The error may also indicate a Steam service failure. Please try repairing the Steam service:
1. Exit Steam.
2. Click Start > Run (Windows Key + R).
3. Type the following command: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair
4. Launch Steam and test the issue again.
Note: This command requires administrator privileges and may take a few minutes. If you have installed Steam to another path, please replace C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam with the correct path.

aw i managed to get back in the match but someone abandoned it, I didnt abandon it, and i hyper carried the team, still got temp ban
