Working as an audio engineer in New York's local recording industry, Eddie Jukes learned three very important things —
One: New York is full of musicians hoping to become the next big thing. Two: some of them have talent. And three: many of them are willing to sign away perhaps a bit too much in the name of fame.
And so he created Ether Records, a label that gives the term "soul music" a whole new meaning: With the latest in occult recording technology, a small piece of each artist's soul is pressed into every record, allowing you to feel their presence in your own living room like never before.

Abilities
Smash Hit
A slow-moving projectile that deals increasing damage the more enemies it passes through. The projectile speed increases with the speed-up from Beatings Per Minute.
Rewind
Back out of a tough spot by repeating your movements over the past 5 seconds in reverse, regaining some of your lost health. Channel time reduces with the speed-up from Beatings Per Minute. T2 upgrade causes you to damage enemies you pass through.
Beatings Per Minute
Dealing weapon damage passively increases the speed of your attacks and movement, including your fire rate, reload speed, melee cooldown, move speed, and ability channel time. Slowly builds up to a max amount and slows down over time while not dealing damage.
Record Skip
Play a song that releases a series of damaging pulses and repeatedly pulls back enemies it hits. Time between each pulse is reduced with the speed-up from Beatings Per Minute.
