Joystick Movement Persists In Shop

I realize controller support is not a priority, but I've seen a consistent, replicable bug where, if I open the shop menu while moving on a controller, the game will continue moving me in the background while I'm buying something, often resulting in my uncontrolled movement taking me out of range of the shop while I'm trying to buy something.
 
Also, I know when the buy menu is open, SteamInput doesn't allow you to assign movement input. This one isn't as big of a deal, but, between gyro and my right joystick, I'm perfectly able to navigate the menus, so it'd be nice if movement input was kept available to be bound through SteamInput even in the buy menu, since that would achieve parity with the way the keyboard support works.
 
I play with joystick and mouse (with an azeron cyborg 2), and this is really the only issue I've run into (credit to the ease of accessibility).

Would love an option to let the joystick remain movement input, instead of moving the mouse in the shop. Ideally in settings for my setup, but perhaps in steam input.

Seems they used a custom radial menu and mode shift for the menu controls left joystick. Dunno how this works, but I can use analog joystick movement while in the shop. (and even in pause menu)
