Joining party crashes

Every time I join a party, there's about a 40% chance my game just instantly crashes to desktop. No error message or anything. It's super annoying, and not just me my friends regularly have the same issue.

Bug has been in the game for months; I had to quit playing with my friends.

I'm on linux however.

Ya it has been in game for a while I'm just finally annoyed enough to make a post about it. I'm on windows so not OS specific.

I have the same problem but its 100% chance. Sometimes if i relaunch the game it'll let me be in the party and play games, but sometimes it will continue crashing every time i try to relaunch. Extremely frustrating, please yoshi i want to play with my friends
