Items that reacts to chained headshots "Booming Shot"

I recommend calling it "Booming Shot" in honor of the Boom Headshot meme.

I think items that react to chained headshots would feel like a powerful, and technically rewarding item.

Here are some suggestions for the idea.

5 chained headshots gain life steal for 20 seconds
4 chained headshots gain movement speed for 15 seconds
3 chained headshots gain additional souls for 10 seconds
2 chained headshots gain stamina recharge for 1second

I also recommend making it an activated ability. Then you can gate a passive buff on a challenge where headshot chains are registered for a period of time.
This could be a hard carry item. If a player uses it, you want to disengage, but if they get it off they're a real threat until the buff duration ends.

In that scenario I think longer buffs with even more exaggerated rewards would be the thing to go for. With the item being a late game item. Disengaging in an important late game fight, becomes a real challenging decision for the opposing team.

There's also the idea of making chained headshots register a permanent buff. Then the item is an early game carry item, with high risk high reward.

You could lose stats on death.

Do you have to land consecutive headshots or are you allowed to miss in between headshots? If the former, then I think it's going to be useless, as it's practically impossible to consistently land perfect headshots.

With that said, I think Headhunter and Crippling Headshot already rewards headshots for far less effort. It doesn't mean we can't have more headshot oriented items, it's just something I'd like to point out when taking new items into consideration.

Chained headshots are easier on some faster firing weapons. Some are also shotguns, so there may be something to that as well. That's why its likely much easier to do than you might otherwise think. There's also crowd control in this game.

Please reconsider, given that information.

There's also the concept of taking aim, and waiting for shots...this means you lose the opportunity of firing a spray. This changes the playstyle to a more concentrated effort on landing clean shots. I think that would be appealing.

That tempo switch from when you build your buffs, to when you go ham, might really have that boom headshot meme energy.
