Is running practice tool more taxing on your pc than inside a actual game?

Hi!, I run my settings at Mid-High, my pc runs the game absolutely fine but its just so weird to me that practice tool is more taxing on my GPU than inside a actual game.. does this happen to anyone else? lol

The sandbox? Yes, it's run locally on your PC. You have 0 ping to it but it also means your CPU has to host the server.
