Internet flicker during Street Brawl load fails ability selection and locks cursor

Internet dropped/flickered while loading into Street Brawl. Upon rejoining the game, the ability selection screen does not show ( but the blurred gradient does) and the cursor cannot be moved (can't aim). An additional and intentional disconnect and rejoin made no change.
