This is sort of 2 'bugs' in one.
Description:
There’s an inconsistency when trying to self-cast items using instant cast. Specifically, the interaction fails unless both the self-cast modifier and the item key are spammed a few times.
Steps to Reproduce:
Self-casting with instant cast should work reliably, regardless of the order the keys are pressed. This would be a significant quality-of-life improvement.

There’s a discrepancy in how firing behaves based on the casting method.
Expected Behavior:
Consistency between instant cast and quick cast would be ideal. Either both should allow seamless firing, or both should interrupt – but right now, only instant cast preserves the firing flow.

Conclusion:
Both bugs disrupt the smoothness of gameplay and could be addressed as part of quality-of-life improvements. Thank you for your time and for building such a polished game!
Bug 1: Self-Cast with Instant Cast Fails Unless Spammed
Description:
There’s an inconsistency when trying to self-cast items using instant cast. Specifically, the interaction fails unless both the self-cast modifier and the item key are spammed a few times.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Enable instant cast for an item (e.g., divine barrier).
- Attempt to self-cast by:
- Holding the self-cast modifier before pressing the item key – doesn’t work.
- Holding the item key before pressing the self-cast modifier – doesn’t work.
- Tapping both simultaneously repeatedly – eventually works after multiple tries.
- Result: The item only self-casts occasionally when the keys are spammed together.

Bug 2: Instant Cast vs Quick Cast While Firing
There’s a discrepancy in how firing behaves based on the casting method.
- With instant cast enabled hold down your primary fire button to shoot continuously.
- While holding fire, use an item on an enemy (like Curse) with instant cast and your character continues shooting seamlessly.
- Now, switch to quick cast and hold down the fire button.
- Use the same item and your character stops firing even though the fire button is still held.
Expected Behavior:
