I could not reconnect, yet received pentalty

Recently, the game crashed with a 'Disconnected from server' message. After 20 minutes of trying to reconnect and continuously seeing the same screen, I eventually abandoned the match, thinking it was a bug since the game had already been going for over an hour at that point. However, I still received a penalty and was placed in Low Priority matches. C

I got this issue. Same message and couldn't reconnect. Eventually someone on enemy team left, since game didn't start. One of my party members left too and got penalized as well. So this issue impacts the entire lobby, and can cause leaver penalties.
