I can't hear any conversation lines

So for a long time now I keep reading on reddit about these cool interactions and conversation lines between characters and I always thought it's just written somewhere and they are not actually in the game simply because I never hear them.

Not once have I heard a single conversation line since I got the game more than a year and a half ago.

I hear the patrons, I hear my own character monologue and that's it. No interactions with any other at all. I mostly play yamato but this happens on the other characters too.

I feel like I'm alone with this problem but please help, thank you.

You're definitely not alone, got on the forum specifically for this issue. And there's no volume slider... TBH, I can barely hear the patrons and my own character when I've got other audio in the background (which I often do, having a show or whatnot on while gaming). Being able to, say, drop the music volume but leave the character volume at full would be nice.

Yeah, I know they are aware this problem exists in Street Brawl, but for me it has been happening in standard mode and I don't think they are aware of it since it's so rare.
