Hero with more emphasis on punching (Boxer)

I think there should be a (boxer) hero that has a light punch that's actually a left hook, right hook, jab really fast (3 attacks) . It cant only be parried if you parry the first hit and his heavy melee is an uppercut that does a very small knockup. A boxer fits into this time of period New York style.
 
Any ideas on what skills they'd have?
What if the 3 is a passive and the longer they hold the melee button, the stronger it becomes, and on max hold it destroys parries? It could scale with spirit power. Perhaps medium hold is the knock up, whilst light hold is standard heavy melee? So 3 different types of heavy melees. Light melee are simple single jabs, alternating left and right.

Not sure about the light melee hit 3 times. Ultimate could be putting them in a box ring, where it is melee only. Wall jumping inside the boxing ring should be amplified more.
 
I think with a bunch of charge variation he'd just get kited a lot. I see that dude Donkey Kong charging and I'm gonna nope out asap lol. I think having a boxing ring would be great for the ult, just force the enemy into a melee only match with you.

Exactly. You can position in a way, to help your team, or to force them to leave. Or you can use it with heavy melee charge to do some sort of mobility thing, and he would be able to punch into the sky from the ground. And he would be able to hover in the air whilst holding punch in the air.

Hmm, like an Wright Boxer bro? One of the moves could be eating a snack to buff himself up? And another to dash, which gives you offensive buffs if you used it to avoid an approaching ability.

I suppose the gun could be punching out a spectral ball, that fire rate increases inverse to distance (meaning fast fire rate when up close)?

That sounds interesting... Like a fencer, but much more focused on melee. And a character that is also focused in air stalling as well. And heavy punch focused (Billy is king of the lights).
 
Pure boxing or with some wrestling added,It would probably be pretty interesting if he could control his opponent.
He could grab the opponents on an ult and throw them on a wall (that spawns after the grab), which then bounces them into a ring. Basically think of a ring that is high up in the sky. One can shoot into it and use abilities, only if they are even further up.. Because you know, the bottom covers it? Unless the ability penetrates through the wall or the gun or something. Bullet piercing rounds whatever whatever.
