hero with big artillery cannon in his hands "CPT Silver"

CPT. Silver​



In game already exist some kind of artillery cannon, the ult of McGinnis is, but we dont have the answer to the "hey i like McGinnis ult so much but i want to almost spam it!". This hero makes your dream come true and in addition have unique gameplay and features

So the hero will be big and muscular man with a big cannon in his hands (how he holds it you say? Of course with a help of his patron!), and abilities will be around his gun, his warcrimes and his slowness.

About concept how he looks:
He looks like a little more dressed than usual Saxton Hale holding an artillery cannon.
(not that cannon 1718514884499.png more like this 1718515026387.png because we have robots in game, can we stole from museum some better working (and more modern looking) gun?).
So in the end of this short explanation i have this: wwtf.png (i don't want to make Hale on this picture more dressed because Hale himself will come to my house and make me less skinned)

To make some unique generality of the hero needed the some combination of colors, like every hero. But clarification of these really subject of further speculation (if this concept really makes some sense). As the further speculation is the whole concept of this hero.


The gameplay.​

I want to say about numbers here, these are product of my only imagination and some calculations, so these numbers are made only to reproduce feeling about damage of hero and his scaling in actual game.

His meele attack is scaling from spirit.
For light meele: (0.5 * 1718531509606.png)
For heavy meele: (0.65 * 1718531664602.png)

He has 2 points of stamina.

Unlike his brother of size Abrams, Silver have 550 Hit Points because of his artillery nature.

As a feature, he will shoot a bombs similar to bombs of Yamato (Her secondary attack) but his projectiles are faster.

So he has:
WEAPON:
83 DPS ; 21 Bullet Damage
14 Ammo ; 4 Bullets per sec
63 Light meele ; 116 Heavy meele

i stole these from Kelvin because my stats for Silver from start (that is 3 ammo in clip and 67 DPS (1.5 bullets per sec ; 45 damage per bullet)) was not enough for proper scaling. (why i care? because....... umm i liked this idea and because when i try to sleep i can't because of the thought that says "ooh you made typo on that forum about deadlock on hero suggestion page and the balance is really bad")

VITALITY:
550 Max Health ; 2 Health Regen
0% Bullet Resist ; 0% Spirit Resist
6.8 Move Speed* ; 0 m/s Sprint Speed
2 Stamina

Note: *slightly increased move speed is the compromise between sniper that lives and shoots on the back of the fight and some brawler like Bebop that starts fights.


1-st ability​

Cooldown: 20s. Cooldown between charge: 7s.

Basic level: "Overcharged shot" he charges the cannon and then shoots the cannon with fast projectile that deals spirit damage.

1-st level of ability: +1 Charge.

2-nd level of ability: Projectile shatters upon collision into smaller bombs (5 (each deals 35 spirit damage and scales (0.5 * 1718531509606.png)).

3-rd level of ability: Direct hit purges all buffs on target. (Or direct hit stuns for 0.5 seconds*)

Notes: I really wanted to see not the spherical some bubble projectile but the PROJECTILE like the ultimate of the Sniper from Dota 2 (If of course this hero will be even seen by someone).
*Stuns with charges is a very bad idea, because you can interrupt every charging skill in the fights, so if stuns is better then needed to delete charges.

2-nd ability​

Radius: 10m. Cooldown 22s.
Explosion damage 80 (0.75 * 1718531509606.png). DPS 40 (0.4 * 1718531509606.png)

Duration: 4s.

Basic level: "White Phosphorus" "As the man of war he know that warcrimes are bad.. But enemies respawn so warcrimes don't really count" He shots a white phosphorus munition from cannon, it explodes at some distance from the floor and then cloud of small particles of White phosphorus fly down on wide area. Enemies gain bonus speed of 30%

1-st level of ability: After leaving the area damage is still dealing, duration: 2 ticks (2 seconds)

2-nd level of ability: Bonus speed for enemies reduced to 15%

3-rd level of ability: Marks all enemies in area (These marks is autonomous* and has 50% of power amplification on enemies).

Notes:
Bonus speed for enemies is the try to balance the cloudy-wide area of damage per second, and the borders of this spell must be look like spherical marker (like marker of the Seven ult).
*When enemy leaves the area, mark is dispelled.

3-rd passive ability​

Cooldown: 12s.

Duration: 7s.

Basic level: "HERE'S THE ENEMY" Mark on enemy lasts longer (7 seconds) and makes enemy hero take more damage (10%), but mark from Silver is now can be dispelled and has cooldown*.

1-st level of ability: +10% damage on enemy.

2-nd level of ability: Mark seen through walls.

3-rd level of ability: Reduced cooldown.

Note: Mark of the Silver has the Orange color to make the difference beyond someone else's mark.
*Not the all markers, only those that marks enemy heroes.

Ultimate ability​

Cooldown: 150s.

Damage: 200 (0.9 * 1718531509606.png).
Silver shots explosive shot under himself and gets into air, this ability refreshes 1 stamina.

1-st level of ability: Reduced cooldown.

2-nd level of ability: Fully refreshes stamina.

3-rd level of ability: Upon falling on the floor, deals additional spirit damage on area. (100 (0.9 * 1718531509606.png)


Problems with this hero:​

At even this stage it catches your eye even from the very beginning of this text that Silver has very limited ammunition, that means big portion of gameplay time will be instant reloading while fighting or just damaging enemies. Probably it can be solved by adding a some kind of pistol on secondary fire, but it makes this hero more like Yamato... Probably?.. Anyway, limited clip size was tried to solve by adding faster reloading time but -10% feels like it's small, but making a -20% feels like instant reload with items that further reduce this time.

In the beggining Silver had only 3 bullets in his clip and that's really limited as the text above says, so i rebalanced it to the stats that has Kelvin, and now it looks more acceptable. The major problem with 3 bullets is bad scaling, even with cutted damage and increased reload, he can get from starting item that grants you 15% ammo in clip astonishing and wonderful: 3 * 15% = 3,15!!! that means he get 0 bonus bullets. So the problem still here because i stole stats from Kelvin

And probably (definetly) balance.



So in the end i want to make a text about him in the style that we can see in the preview of the heroes in the main menu, so here it is:

Heavy gun in heavy hands of Silver makes breaches in the enemy position, controlling big areas with ease. While Silver giving a room to breathe for whole team and reposition, his vision help to notice the lone lurking killers and chase them to make convincing dashes towards the enemy team without fear.



ah and mcginnis ult... there's no things that like McGinnis ult... only camera position... ummm... so...... if you like McGinnis ult just play McGinnis.
