Hero Training Shop Crash with Infernus

After completing tasks 1 through 5 in Hero Training and defeating the enemy guardian, I was prompted to go to the shop to purchase upgrades for task 6. Upon purchasing my first upgrade, the game was permanently set to "Game is Paused" and would not allow me to purchase anything else from the shop, despite having plenty of souls. Hitting escape, and then resuming the game, did nothing to fix the issue, and after spamming different keys I simply had to leave the sandbox. Attached is a video of the bug.
