--- Hero Overview
Rob is a walking coat, hat and pair of shoes that house a vast expanse of space within, with countless personalities and more importantly, barrels. Rob excels at dealing high spirit and gun damage, while isolating their target from the rest of their team, along with Rob themselves.

Rob uniquely blends the gun and ability aspects of Deadlock. Using their magazine for ability usage on their 1st ability, as well as making the most of their third ability's align by staying in the air as much as possible, thanks to their passive ability to save ammo mid-air.

--- Gun - Thousands
Fire the myriad of pistol-like barrels from within your coat. Deals random damage between 2 and 10 per bullet.

Alt-fire: Hold to slow-fall.

--- Ability 1 - Hundreds of Millions

Passive:
Bullets have a 50% chance to not be consumed while firing in mid-air.
Start a channelled float and open the coat wide, revealing countless barrels. Allowing you to fire a storm of bullets in any direction. Shooting consumes ammo from your regular magazine.

Fire rate scales the ability's fire rate. Spirit scales the damage per shot.

Move at 3mps in any direction while channelled.

Gain bullet dodge chance and spirit resistance for the duration

T2
Move at 6.5mps during float.

T3
While channelling; firing bullets mid-air has a 95% chance to not consume ammo


--- Ability 2 - Constellation

Form a constellation of horses from under the cloak; sending you forward in any direction. Running through an enemy deals spirit damage and applies a fading movement & dash slow.

T2
Enemies hit by Constellation are revealed through walls for the duration of the slow effect.

T3
Hitting a revealed enemy with a perfectly rolled bullet refreshes the reveal duration and deals a small burst of spirit damage.

--- Ability 3 - Shake-Up
Jumble the stars within the cloak and test your luck. 75% chance to self-detonate, sending bullets flying in an area around you, dealing spirit damage.

25% chance to align; instantly reloading your gun and guaranteeing perfect rolls on damage per bullet for that mag.

- Works with extra charge!

T2
Improve the align odds to 30%
T3

Bullets fired while aligned are empowered with celestial energy; dealing bonus spirit damage.

--- Ability 4 - Showdown
Shoot to the sky and aim at an enemy to isolate them. Select the enemy to crash down on them dealing spirit damage and begin a Showdown.

Visible only to you and the target: The sky turns to starry night, and the world (except the Showdown participants) turns monochrome.

Players not affected by Showdown will see a blue glow around the participants.

Players affected by Showdown become un-targetable to those outside of it and cannot be damaged, healed or otherwise interacted with by others.

The Showdown effect has no range limit, only a duration limit

T3
Killing your opponent during Showdown heals you for 50% max hp and resets the cooldown of Constellation.

--- Backstory
When the Maelstrom hit off in NYC, all manner of infrastructure, technology, paraphernalia and inanimate objects were affected in strange ways.

But perhaps none stranger than that of an unsuspecting suitcase arriving to NYC by plane. A flight as any other, except for a sudden burst of turbulence right before landing. But when the passenger came to claim their baggage, it was gone! Broken open and empty.

Days later reports of outerwear walking on its own started showing in the papers. Now a cloak walks among us, housing countless personalities in a vast expanse of space itself.

After Wickerman, thiis my second fav of yours. I always thought deadlock will eventually have sometype of living cloak/armor character that is similar to bebop being a construct with its own soul. I got some questions and the like.

The gun: is this a shotgun spread or the many barrels shot 1 after the other, no spread?

For the (1) ability: did you think of making magazine size scale with spirit, like haze. Personally- im unsure i like firerate scaling firerate more... not sure maybe others can share their thoughts.

their (2) Constellation: from the name I thought they would send shape of a constellation (like how pocket sends his cloak) at a target since this character doesnt give off a close combat focus (correct me if thats not what youre going for). I assume this this is you giving them a movement ability for escape?

(4) Showdown: you say shoot the sky and then select an enemy to slam down on creating a showdown. So the character leaps up in the air like majestic leap and has targeting like lash ult? Not sure if currently that is good. thinking about it all ults allow the opportunty for teammates to assist/take part and for the enemy team to also have that same chance so having a 1-on-1 duel does not seem like the direction the devs want to take this game. I dont even think the next batch of characters have any 1-on-1 type ults. Here is what i can think of when i think of this ability is that it does the same thing as slamming down on an enemy- then creates a dome (like kelvin/domain expansion) that allows anyone to enter or exit EXCEPT the caster and target? And have it like anyone on the enemy team crossing that barrier into the dome gets a hard fading slow.

Okay so i forgot doorman's ULT does isolate, but does not turn it into a 1-on-1, so it still allows both teams a chance to help. Anywayyyy cool design. Thinking about gun design maybe just show the mutliple different barrels that stick out the cloak with unique etchings or symbols. Thanks for reading
 
I never thought a coat would make for an interesting hero idea, but you made it work. Super cool idea

My only nitpick is ability 3 which I don't like at all and I would wish to have another ability instead of it. I don't feel like a luck based mechanic like this makes for an interesting ability.

The gun acts like many pistols shooting one bullet at a time, the input is just to hold m1.

on the 1: to be clear, the ability's shots would be their own thing, separate from the gun. So the shots fired are pure spirit damage, and scale with fire rate. It does not take your gun's fire rate and multiply it like that.

on the 2: It's intended to be an escape tool, a juking tool and an agressive repositioning tool. The constellation is part of their being, they just morph in to that shape, so no they don't send it out like a projectile.

on the 4: I'm not bothered by the fact that no other heroes have dueling isolation abilities. Rather I'd say that the whole point of my design ideas is to think of things that aren't in the game yet. Things that seem cool. The idea would be for Rob to use it on a tactical target in a team fight, and to isolate them from their team. The enemy target doesn't have to duel them, they could also just try to run for the short duration.

Yeah I can see why it would be a polarizing design choice. But I personally like the idea of having a button you press that every now and then gives you a dopamine kick as you score a perfect roll.

It would allow for scenarios where you might be running from a fight but then you roll an align and suddenly you're brave enough to turn back and fight. For example.

Totally get you on wanting to be outside the box on the ultimate. You’re explanation on it makes more sense. Sorta like the baroness but with the option to do no damage. That’s cool.

Then for me the only thing not sitting with me is ROB turning into a horse upon casting constellation. Doesn’t fit with his design just from looking at them. I think it would be cool if they turn into a nebula swirl or galaxy like thing but that’s just me :)
