Roach: Meepo x Mirage (Apex Legends)
Small magical cockroach with Australian accent. Talks like Saxton Hale but is the size of Rem. Talks boldly; but is an idiot.Makes people uncomfortable but is not phased, Roach was just a normal cockroach before the maelstrom. Found a replicating ring like Draupnir, from which Roach duplicates themself. Could wear the ring as a belt. No other magical, bipedal cockroaches exist, so Roach wishes to create the first sentient, biped cockroach civilization.
1: Deploy Clone
Create a clone with a limited health pool. Moves and shoots mirroring Roach, aims where Roach aims (give them aim assist like Sinclair duplicates)Moves like a decoy from Mirage in Apex but will actually shoot and deal damage instead of just being a hologram.
Different from Sinclair double as clone can be destroyed, moves in a straight line or mirroring movement depending on toggle like Mirage. Cannot be teleported to.
Decoys can proc items affects to diminishing effects but maybe have that enhanced in upgrade tree.
Have this be or upgraded into a charged ability (evil mode). Can have multiple clones from charges
2: Ransack
Meepo Ransack like affect; heal on hit and clone gains lifesteal on hit as well. Clone heal Roach, half heal to the clones themselves. Maybe give a temporary speed boost as to be a movement ability.Ransack is passive but unlike Meepo, have an activated effect for the speed boost (Could be busted IDK make the character and find out)
3: Snare
Throw snare much like Meepo earthbind, makes a temporary root effect.Upgrades improve duration and range, maybe damage amp affect tier 5.
4: Swarm
Ultimate like Mirage; create multiple decoys (4x then maybe 6x in upgrade)Decoys will have same effects and upgrades as ability 1, gain lifesteal affect and boost from Ransack.
Notes:
I was inspired by early speculation on Rem where it was mentioned they could have an ability like Meepo, where they could be in two places at once. In a MOBA, controlling Meepo is difficult enough. The closest analogue to Meepo I could think of was Mirage from Apex Legends, being able to confuse enemies was super fun but it had little effect in battle.I tried incorporating as much as I knew of Meepo into this kit, as admittedly I have never played a single match of Meepo but many on as Mirage (apex). A character that can duplicate themselves is a crazy idea which I had become fixated on, Meepo being a crazy iteration on that idea and Mirage being a goofy meme incarnation of it.
If there are other characters in other MOBAS with similar duplicating/clone abilities I'd love to hear about them and how their kit could interact with Roach's or in place of theses abilities. This really is just a Meepo clone and idk if that one to one kit cloning is the vibe Valve wants. Please comment any ideas as I like this little bug guy, I would love to hear other possible abilities to mix it up.
