A crystalline golem designed for defense against spiritual attacks, Refrakt's job is to Reduce, Reuse, and Refract.
Weapon: A Piece of Me - Refrakt fires shards from its hand, rapidly sending shards at its enemies. Primary fire will fire it rapidly akin to an assault rifle or SMG, but alt fire will charge and fire a slower, higher damaging projectile instead. The damage and charge speed is based on the remaining ammo in your magazine.
1: Boomslang Shards - Dealing damage to enemy heroes with your gun will now embed shards into them. Activating this ability will recall these shards, reloading them back directly into your magazine. Ammo reloaded this way also gain bonus spirit damage. Alternate fire shots will count based on the amount of ammo consumed.
Upgrade 1 - Rounds reloaded by this ability give bonus X% fire rate
Upgrade 2 - Increases the speed that shards return to you. Returned shards give a slight amount of lifesteal.
Upgrade 3 - Enemy heroes that are embedded will recieve a debuff when shards are recalled, reducing their bullet resistance based on the amount of shards recovered.
2: Crystalline Edge - Refrakt uses its arm like a sword, sending a horizontal shockwave forward that deals melee damage. Targets within a short area will take additional spirit damage and will be sent backwards. Alt casting instead sends a vertical shockwave and sends closer targets upward.
Upgrade 1 - Hitting enemy heroes with this ability gives you Spirit resistance.
Upgrade 2 - Increases damage by +X
Upgrade 3 - Reduces cooldown by X seconds
3: Refractor Engine - When activated, whenever Refrakt takes a certain amount of damage, you will gain a stack of Refraction. For each stack of refraction, you will heal a portion of damage taken and deal damage equal to that heal to nearby enemies.
Upgrade 1 - Decreases cooldown by X seconds
Upgrade 2 - Increases refraction damage area by (X)m
Upgrade 3 - Increases the amount of healing from refraction stacks
4: Suppressor Spikes - Refrakt opens its chest to fire suppressor spikes. These spikes deal gun damage on impact and explode a short time afterwards. Heroes damaged by these spikes are suppressed for the duration and have their spirit resist reduced.
Upgrade 1 - Increases projectile speed and explosion radius
Upgrade 2 - Reduces Cooldown
Upgrade 3 - Heroes directly impacted are stunned for a short time and have their spirit resistance reduced further.
Refrakt was part of a longer line of constructs designed to ward off evil spirits and nullify their mental effects. While on duty, a mine had collapsed on top of Refrakt and the expedition crew, causing heavy damage to Refrakt and killing the expeditioners. Upon reactivation, Refrakt had found out the expeditioners were possessed by spirits and was given a new task: Avenge the fallen and seek vengeance against those who have taken the land and stripped it bare. Malfunctioning and unable to distinguish between spirit and human, it takes up its new directive with haste.
