Hero Kit/Idea: Sot

Sot

At one time, he was a professional Billiards player. However, he was severely injured in the most recent Maelstrom, filling him with Astral Energy and tormenting him with endless pain. To drown his sorrows, he binge drinks at Jezebel’s and shoots pool with locals.

Visually, sot is a disheveled, middle-aged/slightly-old, bald and rotund man who looks older than he should. His weapon is an engraved tube/cannon that shoots billiards balls. Similar fire rate/damage to doorman gun, but with SLOWER velocity, but more damage. 10 Rounds starting capacity.

1. Bar Trick

Sot throws a set of 2 electrified coins that spread out in midair. They remain on the ground for 10 seconds and electrocute (damage) in-radius enemy heroes every 2 seconds. Successive enemy hits grant bonus Favor (see ability 3)

Cooldown: 22s
Damage: (Spirit) 40 Per Hit
Projectile: Similar to Calico Gloom Bombs (Random-ish spread)

T1: -5s Cooldown
T2: +1 Coin
T3: +2 Coins and 2x proc rate

2. Magic 8-Ball

Shake the magic 8-Ball, causing a random, temporary effect/action to occur. 8-Ball chances are influenced by Favor Meter (see ability 3)

For clarity, stylized and emphasized text will appear on screen for a short duration to display what option you got. Also, the 8 Ball audibly reads out the name of the debuff/buff/action.

Possible actions:
1. +/- Spirit Resist
2. +/- Bullet Resist
3. +/- Cooldown Reduction
4. +/- Spirit Power
5. +/- Gun Power
6. +/- 50 Souls
7. +/- 50 Bonus Hp
8. +/- 5 Max HP (Permanent)
9. +/- 5 Bonus Ammo
10. +3% Max Ammo (Permanent)
11. Retreat/Teleport (very similar to Mina, but one use)
12. 20HP Barrier
13. Short Ethereal Shift (1.5s)
14. Random Non-Ultimate Ability Cooldown Reset
15. +3% Fire Rate
16. Instant Reload
17. Zipline Cooldown Reduction (50%) (Very Low Chance)
18. +3% Movespeed
19. Generate and drop a bag of 50 Unsecured Souls (does not come from your own soul count)
20. Ultimate Cooldown Reset (very low chance)

Charges: 3
Cooldown: 1s
Recharge time: 15s

T1: +1 Charge, 5% Temporary Effect Duration
T2: For a brief window, activate ability again to undo the previous use. Refunds charge but starts a 10s cooldown on the ability.
T3: -4s Undo Cooldown, +1 Charge, +25% Temporary Effect Duration

3. Fortune and Favor

Passive (Favor): Build up luck by damaging enemies using abilities. (Displayed on screen via meter (eg. Shiv Rage)

On Use (Fortune): Remain Stationary and Charge up to an explosion, sacrificing an increasing number of souls as a percentgage damage multiplier. (Increases depending on charge time.) If enemies (including NPCs) are killed with the blast, gain back the sacrificed souls and earn bonus souls for enemies killer. If no enemies are killed, souls are lost.

Base Damage: 120 (Spirit)
Max Charge Time: 4 seconds (400 Souls)
Percentage Multiplier: 1% per soul
Bonus souls: 130% of normal souls earned for kill
Cooldown: 20s

T1: +2s Max Charge Time (Now 600 Souls)
T2: +20% bonus souls per kill (now 140%)
T3: 20% Radius Increase, 2% Multiplier per soul (New Max Damage = 1440)

Yes I know this is a scary number, but this is really hard to hit. Basically a longer-windup Victor Ult. With spirit scaling, can do MASSIVE DAMAGE if you time it right.

4. Fine Spirits

Throw a heavy, small-radius bottle that, when shattered, inflicts "spirit bleed" on the enemies affected, causing a slow drain in souls (like pocket ult, but with souls.) Earn a small percentage of souls drained.

Cooldown: 120s
Base souls per second: 20 (scales with spirit)
Duration: 10s

T1: +10 Souls Per Second
T2: +3s Duration, +10% Radius
T3: Luck now affects soul bleeding. Souls per second can now vary an additional 10% based on luck.

Once again, I am not good with balancing/numbers. This is a fine line hero that could either be way underpowered or way overpowered. Numbers can be tweaked at will, but i think the synergy is good with the favor meter and 8 ball. Let me know!

It wont let me edit :(

Corrections/Explanations:

1/Bar Trick: The coins have a relatively small radius. You cannot completely deny an entire area. Similar size to a seven ball.

2/8-Ball: Ideally, all of these options would have their own hidden odds. Things like +/- 50 souls, Max Ammo, random soul bag - these wouldnt be as common as some of the other buffs. The ult cooldown reset and zip cooldown would be extremely rare and possibly even limited to when you have max Favor. Also, max luck is going to decrease the percentage of negative ones by a good amt, so 8 ball actually gets value instead of being a random ability gimick.

3/Fortune & Favor: OK THIS IS IMPORTANT. I failed to mention that the bonus souls for NPCs killed should be way lower. If bonus souls for heroes are 130%, NPCs would be like 103%. Something very small.

For the active part of this ability, the 1440 Max damage is not gonna happen very often. The ability makes a loud charging sound and you are stationary with no resists or stun-protection, The damage radius falls off, so someone would have to be standing right next to you while you are blatantly charging, for 6 whole seconds. However, I think i would also lower the base damage of this ability to something like 100 for convinience and for balance sake. Midboss fight with unstoppable seems dangerous.

4/Fine Spirits: I was trying to make the ultimate tie in with all the soul drain. I feel like with your 3, its pretty easy to just completely waste souls. The spirit scaling would not be much. most matches a maxed out ult would drain somewhere around 250-300 souls. Also to make it clear, the enemy is losing souls with this, but Sot doesnt gain every soul lost. It would be something like 35%.

My idea of playing this hero would be to build bursty damage for getting people low, then securing a low hp kill with your 3 to avoid wasting souls on risky full charge explosions. Gun could also be strong with qsr on 8-ball, use your gun for farm and then use your 3 as a budget cultist. you could get pretty farmed up without risking your 3 too much, but the truly fed Sot players would need to master the 3 and aim for huge charge kills.
