Based on my old concept: https://forums.playdeadlock.com/threads/hero-concept-w-lore-dr-arad-the-soul-scientist.42818/
I think Deadlock has the potential to be the first MOBA to introduce a hero that has some sort of disability (involving his gameplay aswell) which would be a unique gesture and also an interesting gameplay mechanic idea.
Lore:
Dr. Michael Arad was once a celebrated Nobel Laureate, known for his bold and controversial work in "soul extrapolation." Arad is considered one of the fathers of soul-based technologies, a field he hoped would change humanity’s understanding of souls and their nature. He envisioned using mortal-energy to enhance human lives, a dream that took form in the products his company launched. But the vision turned to nightmare when the initial release led to the deaths of fourteen people, sparking a public outcry. In a rapid response, the FDA shut down his corporation, and his business quickly unraveled amidst lawsuits and accusations. After a fallout with his business partner, Arad narrowly avoided prison, but his reputation lay in shambles. In the years since, he has isolated himself, spending day and night in a dim, secluded lab, obsessively seeking the flaw in his thesis that brought him to ruin.
At the peak of his despair, Arad attempted to take his own life, an act that left him permanently confined to a wheelchair. Yet even in his broken state, he could not abandon his work. Each failed experiment has only fueled his determination, pushing him further into the depths of obsession. Now, at the edge of exhaustion, he is considering a last, desperate option: seeking help from the Patrons themselves, who might hold the knowledge and resources he needs to finally set things right.
Weapon:
Railgun; starts with low base damage. Good accuracy and most importantly hit-scan (like Bebop) and moderate fire-rate.
Ability 1: Net
Arad shoots a net toward his crosshair, causing the first enemy hit to be engulfed in a net, dealing spirit damage and silencing all movement-based abilities for 3 seconds. In addition, if the hit enemy is in the air, it will be interrupted.

Ability 2: Juxtapose
Arad disappears for 1 second, dashing to a chosen location nearby. One Arad arrives at the location, he gains 30% Fire rate for 3 seconds.
Ability 3: Soul Storage
Passive:
Dr. Arad is incapacitated and requires a wheelchair to be mobile which means:
- Any form of jumping costs Arad 1 stamina charge.
- Arad cannot double jump.
- Arad cannot wall jump.
Passive:
Luckily, Dr. Arad utilizes soul-based technologies that can allow him to combat this disability, granted he has enough souls stored.
Arad gains 1 mortal energy for each floating soul he shoots down or jungle monster he defeats.
For each mortal energy stored, Arad gains 3% Weapon Damage. Arad can store up to 30 of these.
At maximum capacity, Arad can jump freely without it costing 1 stamina.
Ability 4: The Theorem
Dr. Arad is temporarily freed out of the need for his wheelchair for a duration and launches his anomalous wheelchair forward with incredible speed, running over any enemies in its path, dealing spirit damage and stunning them.
Dr. Arad is able to walk freely without limitations during the duration, this includes double jump, wall jump etc.
This duration is determined by (amount of mortal energies Arad has stored at the time) * (Spirit)
Check out more of my hero concepts:
Souvenir, the Anomalous Photographer
Sullivahn, the Bodyguard
Entropy, the first Temporal Preservation Officer (Covert CIA Division created to combat Paradox)
PRIME/8, the Space Monkey
Angstrom, the Atomic Manipulator
Vessel, the Damned Sheriff
Silhouette, the Sword of Kha'rish (Melee Hero)

FYI It's just the wheelchair hovering, Arad "himself" doesn't jump unless he is affected by his ult.

The wheelchair moves on the ground by itself. Any flying enemies would not be affected.
When the duration is over, the wheelchair would return to Arad.
