Hero Idea: Ronnie Rabbit (or whatever legally distinct cartoon name we can get)

A classic cartoon hero concept focusing on enemy disruption and team support. If the Toon theme clashes too heavily with the Deadlock universe, I think this kit could be applied to an inventor or artist type of character.

Bio: The Maelstrom and associated magical abilities have granted life to certain illustrated characters, one of which is Ronnie Rabbit. He lives in a Toon Town-esque district of New York, legally distinct from what you see in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. In fact, he doesn't have to be a rabbit at all, he could be a duck/mouse/dog/cat/etc, the point is he is a golden age cartoon character who is different from the "real"/grounded characters and heroes, not too dissimilar to Marvel's Howard the Duck. For the sake of this concept, I'll continue to call him Ronnie Rabbit.

Story: Most Toons have poor impulse control, making them easy marks for gambling traps and mob rings such as those run by Wraith and Yamato. Ronnie has gotten into hot water with such powers, and they have kidnapped his wife/family (also Toons) and put them up for display in the New York Metropolitain Museum of Art until he pays off his debts. Using his toon-ly cunning and powers, he plans to contact the patrons to free his family, himself, and create a better life for Toons everywhere.

Gun: A modified paint gun that works like a fire hose and is affected by gravity. The longer the fire button is held (or as firerate increases), the higher the pressure and it increases damage and range. This would be a different gun design from what's already in the game, possibly even enabling the ability to shoot over enemy cover to hit them with the liquid arc. The original design was to have a bunch of paint/turpentine/acid cans strapped around Ronnie's waist or back and have them all tubed together with rubber hoses. For his melee, he would attack with a large wooden mallet and his parry animation would be an ACME electric hand buzzer.

Ability 1: Pie in the Sky
Ronnie throws a custard cream pie forward doing damage and inflicting the 'creamed' status to enemies. This status makes the target have reduced mobility control, sliding around similar to controlling Viscous' Ball form. Upgrades to the ability add a bomb to the pie, giving it an AOE instead of relying on direct hits. Other upgrades could add weapon inaccuracy or blindness to the effect.

Ability 2: The Hole Idea
Ronnie uses a paintbrush to paint a hole on an eligible ceiling, wall, or floor as seen in classic Bugs Bunny cartoons. This hole becomes a passageway to the other side of the structure. A similar effect can currently be simulated by putting Doorman's door on either side of a wall. What makes this different would be allowing immediate traversal through geometry, and allowing vertical access to places like the underground tunnels, subways, or midboss through new routes. It would have fewer viable surfaces than Doorman's door, requiring an eligible area directly opposite where the hole is placed. Upgrades to the ability would add a team exclusive veil to the pathways and give attack buffs to teammates passing through allowing for ambushes. Some images below might help illustrate how eligible surfaces could be mapped out: green/valid or red/invalid.

Ability 3: Show a Little Outline
An active ability at first, Ronnie paints a nearby teammate, thickening up their outline cosmetically and increasing their defense. Fairly straightforward support ability, but I think giving bullet/spirit/debuff resist could differentiate it from standard healing/barriers. As the ability is upgraded, the inverse of the ability can applied to enemies instead, thinning their outline/color saturation - Ronnie must choose between buffing allies or debuffing enemies with each cast. At its final stage, both functions are added to his gun as an alternate fire at the cost of increased ammo consumption. Left-click does more damage, right-click weakens enemies and buffs any allies caught in the crossfire.

Ability 4: Pain Train
Ronnie paints a tunnel on a wall and summons a large train that launches out of it, a classic gag seen in Coyote and Road Runner cartoons. It would be like a less versatile Paige Ultimate with a predetermined trajectory, picking up enemies and exploding after a short time or colliding with another structure. Use Ability 2 to reach the proper wall, launch a train that moves the enemy team out from under their protective area, and move in once they are scattered/damaged. Upgrades add range/power or even add paint or pie statuses to the explosion - maybe the train carries paint buckets or pies to reflect this. Some of the images below show how the tunnel/explosion might work.

Gameplan:
Ronnie is an offensive support character similar to Doorman or Sinclair. He doesn't have many advantages if fighting alone, but using Ability 1 or 3 can be very useful in teamfights or roaming with a partner. Ability 2 is a versatile ability that allows for new movement routes, stealing enemy resources, setting up ambushes, or allowing a quick escape when needed. Ability 4 may not be easy to set up, but a large disruption and explosion can force the enemy team into a game losing scenario.

Item Synergies:
Any shop item increasing fire rate or ammo capacity will help Ronnie contribute damage during teamfights, as would Alchemical Fire or status inducing oranges like Slowing or Toxic Bullets. These will be especially welcome once his Ability 3 is upgraded and his gun gains its ability to lower enemy defenses.
Ability 2 can synergize with many greens - once you upgrade to add veils to your holes, Veil Walker is especially valuable. Find new angles to give allies a Guardian Ward or pull them to safety with Rescue Beam. With Ronnie's unique traversal and Ability 4, Trophy Collector could be a good value when playing around allies.
For a more spirit oriented build, Superior Duration will be incredibly potent on Ability 1 and 3. Extra Spririt will also be usefull for increasing the potency of those effects. Active items will also work well with his kit, so be sure to pick up Silence Wave or Knockdown (plus the anvil is 100% on brand).
