I was inspired to make this concept after seeing a reddit post asking when more psychic characters were going to be added to the game. This was a concept that came into my head as a unique take on a psychic character that fits into this setting.
Name: Isaac Anduit.
Role: Support
Backstory: Isaac was a young lad when the first maelstrom came, but it wasn't long before he found his calling. As his family was walking through their rural town he got a bad feeling. Something about the clock tower. He leapt into action as a woman was walking in front of it. He didn't know why, but he reached out to shove her. He managed to shove her out of the way of a falling clock arm in the nick of time. The shocking part was that he was still ten feet away when he did it.
8 years old and already a strong psychic.
As he grew older, he specialized in dowsing and got certified as a safety inspector. With his trusty pendulum he could root out early flaws in building design before they even had a chance to take root. He hadn't even been old enough to drink before he had been hired to work in the Cursed Apple. For nearly forty years he has worked to make his city safe and to prevent catastrophes caused by careless builders.
Recently though, he's been having horrible nightmares and premonitions. A massive incident involving multiple corporate structures was brewing and set to wipe out working class districts in the city. Despite his years of experience and connections, nobody with any power to stop it would listen to him. Now he turns to the Patrons to force their hands and save his fellow blue collars.
Weapon: An Eye for Detail
A metal pendulum with a mystic gemstone set within, dangling from a chain. Isaac's primary tool for rooting out design flaws and a handy rope dart for someone telekinetically inclined. Functions similarly to Venom's tentacles in marvel rivals but with a much slower fire rate. Technically a light melee with larger range. User will need to predict opponent's path to land consistent hits and apply ability 3 status effect.
Ability 1) Telekinetic Shove
Creates a large psychic energy hand that acts like a sliding wall and pushes everything in it's path. Can be made to go in cardinal directions. Can be used to shove an enemy into a wall and pin them, or to shove troopers into a tighter group.
Ability 2) Predictive Shield
Isaac swings the pendulum in front of himself in a circle generating a psychic shield. Shield can be held for a maximum of ten seconds and absorbs all projectiles that hit it. If projectile damage absorbed exceeds Isaac's base health pool, ability 3 gains a permanent stack. Bound to M2 by default.
Ability 3) Karma
Every successful hit with Isaac's pendulum builds a stack of Bad Luck on enemies. For every stack of Bad Luck, enemy has a 1% chance for every bullet they shoot to damage themselves. For every ability stack accrued through shield, every stack of Bad Luck on enemy gains .5% chance of self damage. Attacking good people is bad for the soul...
Ultimate) Self Fulfilling Safety Violation
Isaac slams a magic condemnation notice onto the ground and creates a bad luck zone. Every enemy inside the zone builds up stacks of Bad Luck over time. Enemies inside Bad Luck zone have Friendly Fire turned on. People with poor intentions end up being a danger to themselves and everyone around them.
