Muh lore: The Tuatha De Denaan have returned to Ireland and have sent Legolas to beat up Venator


TL;DR design inspiration: the "I've been playing a lot of Nioh" kit

kit concept: inspired by action game spear movesets and the upcoming fencer, I thought it would be neat to come up with a spear user kit. this is a bit more than just poking people, it features unique movement options via his spear lunge 1 and 3 passive. while kits like drifter are about up-close combat, this is about dancing around opponents at mid-range for damage and frustration. also probably a decent mock-up for a deadlock monkey king kit.


Weapon: The mythical Gae Bolg of irish legend.

Primary fire: launch magic projectiles from the enchanted spear
Alt fire: Might be a great candidate for the requested javelin spammer :D
Light melee: Spear shove
Heavy melee: Wind up animation to thrust forward with spear ofc


1 - Spear Fishing
13sCD 18m thrust length (25m held thrust length).

- Thrust forward your spear, dealing melee damage to struck enemies in a line. Deal bonus damage to enemies struck with the tip of your spear.
- Hold (1) to increase the range and pull yourself to struck vertical surfaces.

2. CD reduction
3. Landing a grounded charged spear thrust on an aerial enemy will immediately spike them down to the ground for bonus damage and 1s stun.


Concept: Core spear lunge ability. Bonus damage for expertly spaced pokes and a fun inversion of drifter's rend. The unique holding extension will reward people with unique initiation or flanking opportunities (or running away).
The final upgrade is meant to reward people who are -really- good at this and provide unique anti-lash or anti-holliday options. Special ult mode is also meant to get people into the air on purpose and would be a fun combo
with this ability. "Tip of the spear" in this case would be 18m or 25m end of the hitbox.


2 - Thunder Wave
18sCD Cone radius 10m, Air smash radius 10m.

- Sweep your enchanted spear in front of you spewing forth a wave of lightning dealing spirit damage and knocking back enemies.
- If cast in the air, drive your spear directly downward dragging enemies and dealing spirit damage with a bonus.

1. Damage+
2. CD reduction
3. AOE radius increased by 5m for both strikes, now applies a fading slow and spirit shred.


Concept: AOE knockback/damage cone meant to combo with both his 1 (knock them back for spear strike) and 3 (hit this mid vault for big damage, outplay potential). All-in-one combo and defensive ability. Pretty simple. Also, the downward smash is an action game staple. Lvl3 bonus would help a spirit nuke or hybrid melee build as
well as make him a useful initiator for spirit heavy teams.


3 - Monkey Vault
14sCD 3.5s duration

- Passive: While reloading, press (DASH) during the highlighted portion for a pole vault that instantly finishes your reload and grants bonus Fire Rate, Spirit Damage, and Melee damage.
- DASH must be performed while grounded.

1. CD reduction.
2. Melee and Spirit Damage bonus increase.
3. +1 charge, Speed and length of pole vault dash increased.


Concept: A built in active reload repurposed into a unique movement option. This would effectively grant a bonus dash to the hero (provided they don't fail the QTE). This would be a unique dash that would go further than the default grounded DASH as well as propel the character in the air approx. 10 meters or so for evasion, juking, initiation, all that fun stuff. Likely not a great idea indoors or tight spaces. Mind-games at higher levels thanks to melee damage bonus. Would likely interrupt his own gun pressure, but that's ok since this is a "weapons" kit :D


4 - Deadly Glamor
90sCD 3.5s duration 20m radius +3 m/s.

- Enter a special spinning spear stance, gaining movespeed and deflecting all gun damage for 3.5s. After duration or pressing (4) manually, spin your spear around you dealing major spirit and heavy melee damage while also
knocking back struck enemies.

1. Damage Increase
2. CD reduction, movespeed increase.
3. Become invisible throughout duration, +1.5s duration


Concept: A very simple but effective initiating and flanking ultimate. Idea here is to dive, dive, dive and either completely disrupt bunched up enemies or cut them off while flanking them in a team fight. Invisible lvl3 is to make this even more effective on top of thematic flavor. Can also probably just instant cast for the big ult payoff.
