Yes, this is to be taken very seriously. On behalf of the entire Dota community (and several very loud pub players), incorporating Mireska into Deadlock is not just a good idea, it’s a necessity. Right now, there’s a tragic shortage of small gremlin heroes who can crawl through subterranean tunnels, pop out of nowhere, root you in place all while you can do absolutely nothing, but cry. Sure, Seven’s Static Charge is basically Dark Willow’s Cursed Crown, but hit could be better. Imagine stunning someone and then also surrounding them with roots, just to really let the panic set in.
Damage wise, Mireska is exactly the kind of menace Deadlock needs. She casts from afar, she laughs while doing it (in a beautiful geographically ambiguous accent). Importantly, you should give her an Aghanim’s Scepter she absolutely deserves, with it she can bombard nukes from across the map, while being invulnerable. She can hug enemy players with Beldam (like Rem), terrorize them until they flee back to base to rethink their life choices, and generally prove that every single one of her abilities transitions flawlessly into Deadlock (with emotional damage included).
From a lore perspective, ignoring Dark Willow would be the biggest oversight. She’s from the Fae realm who burned down her family estate, stole the birthright, and is currently wanted in six nations. She could escape from the war of the ancients, after stealing an Aghanim's Scepter, flee into Deadlock's setting through a portal. According to her lore, she does wish for everyone to stop chasing her down, therefore she would be perfect for this setting.
And then there’s the drinking. Mireska’s raving alcoholic tendencies line up perfectly with the new hero Silver, also an alcholic. These two would absolutely become best friends, immediately enable each other’s best habits, and still deliver wholesome, friendly banter to the team, enemies included. In conclusion, Dark Willow provides an extra psychological warfare element to Deadlock, which is just what it needs.
