Backstory:
Dr. Michael Arad was once a celebrated Nobel Laureate, known for his bold and controversial work in "soul extrapolation". Arad is considered one of the fathers of soul-based technologies; a field he hoped would change humanity's understanding of souls and their nature. He envisioned using mortal-energy to enhance human lives, a dream that took form in the products his company launched. But the vision turned to nightmare when the initial release led to the deaths of fourteen people, sparking a public outcry. In a rapid response, the FDA shut down his operations, and his business quickly unraveled amidst lawsuits and accusations. After a fallout with his business partner, Arad narrowly avoided prison, but his reputation lay in shambles.
In the years since, Arad has isolated himself, spending day and night in a dim, secluded lab, driven to uncover the flaw that brought him to ruin. Working alone, he has poured over every formula, every test result, obsessively seeking the answer he missed before. Each attempt to fix his past mistakes has left him more frustrated, yet more determined. Finally, at the edge of exhaustion, he is considering a last, desperate option: seeking help from the Patrons themselves, who might have the resources and the secrets he needs.
Game starting; Patron says to Arad:
"Arad, Even with all my power, it is still beyond me to solve the extraction problem. But if you bring me into this world, I will grant you every resource possible to finally solve it yourself — as you were always meant to do."
GAMEPLAY DESCRIPTION:
A dangerous and elusive scientist, Dr. Arad wields a experimental weapon fueled by the souls of his enemies. If his experiments are left unregulated, he may attempt his grand experiment—one that could put every life on the battlefield at risk.
WEAPON:
Railgun; starts with low base damage. Good accuracy and most importantly hit-scan (like Bebop) and moderate firerate.
Ability 1: BALLSITIC SOUL ROUND
Arad shoots a specialized soul-round, dealing weapon damage and slowing enemies. The round will bounce off to enemies nearby, dealing decreased damage at each bounce.
While the bullet is bouncing between enemies, this ability can be pressed again to immediately recall the bullet to bounce towards Arad, assuming LOS). If the bullet hits Arad, he is dealt Weapon Damage. This can be used to trigger Ethereal Juxtapose without an enemy hitting you.

Ability 2: ETHEREAL JUXTAPOSE
Arad prepares for any weapon damage taken within the next 2 seconds, once hit, Arad will ignore a single instance of that damage, and teleport almost-instantly to a chosen direction (its more like a fast dash, telegraphed, but can be used to dodge abilities). One Arad arrives at the location, he gains 30% Fire rate for 3 seconds.
Arad prepares for any weapon damage taken within the next 2 seconds, once hit, Arad will ignore a single instance of that damage, and teleport almost-instantly to a chosen direction (its more like a fast dash, telegraphed, but can be used to dodge abilities). One Arad arrives at the location, he gains 30% Fire rate for 3 seconds.
- If no damage was taken within these 2 seconds, ability will go to cd while Arad will not teleport,).
- This is your bread and butter for fighting.
- Upgrade Idea: Increased fire-rate.
Ability 3: TEST SUBJECTS
Passive: Store the mortal-energy of each soul popped by Arad. Upon death, half of these mortal-energies will be lost.
Each ME (Mortal-Energy) grants 5% Weapon Damage.

- Maximum of 20 MEs can be stored at lvl 1.
- Upgrade Idea: Arad can now hold more MEs
- Upgrade Idea: Weapon Damage bonus at maximum MEs
- Arad can increase the capacity by killing enemies with his ultimate.
Ability 4 (Ultimate): THE EXTRACTION EXPERIMENT (EE)
Arad loads an experimental soul projectile into his railgun. Upon hitting an enemy hero, that hero will be marked for 3 seconds. After the mark triggers, the target would explode in an AoE, dealing a portion of the damage dealt by Arad as spirit damage while the target was marked.
If the target dies under this effect, Arad's maximum mortal energy capacity is increased by 2.
- The maximum capacity increases until the rest of the match - these 2 souls still have to be collected and maintained by Arad (Remember: Dying causes you to lose half of your mortal energy).
- Notice this is the only ability that deals spirit damage in the kit, but even this is based on how much weapon damage + spirit damage was dealt to the target during the marked state.
