I do not find myself mechanically informed enough to make accurate numbers for any abilities so I will not, simply giving an idea for a character and decided to add a kit to it.
Lore
Truman Tenna was a man that gave it his all for the show he aspired to create, only for it to be threatened with the Axe after a short amount of time. With all his dreams and aspirations being threatened to end before he could even pay off his debts, he decides to look for things to sell in desperation before coming across his families cursed treasure. A comedy mask locked away with notes of warnings and despair in the inability to destroy it.
Now that the supernatural is known to be real, Truman knows these aren't simple Superstitions but decides he'll do what it takes to not lose everything and wears the mask, becoming possessed by the entity called Showrunner. Showrunner quickly turns his show back into profit but also distorts it into a cursed channel where he forces unwilling contestants into life threatening games. Truman is forced to endure being possessed and used with only breaks during ads, discovering that Showrunners powers come from the many otherworldly viewers. In other words, if the audience grows bored and leaves Showrunner will make sure Truman dies before becoming powerless again. If the Audience grows, so too does Showrunner's divinity.
With the Maelstrom coming, Truman has convinced Showrunner to take part in the ritual in order to create the greatest show yet, seeking to forcefully take control of himself at the end to wish to be freed of the mask and for it to be destroyed. Showrunner however, has his gaze on the idea of having possibly both patrons start watching and gaining new heights of power
Kit
Gun
Showrunner wields a Mic that fires by him making gun sounds (Bang). His right click is a small explosive for some of the ammo where he makes bomb sounds (BOOM). His reload is the Mic not working and he starts tapping it then smacking it on his palm before it works again.
Lights!
Spawn crew members hosting a spotlight above a target area that shows its aoe via the lighting. It heals you while inside and deals damage to enemies inside overtime. After a duration or by shooting it yourself, the spotlight falls and deals damage to enemies in range and heals you immediately
Camera!
Pull out a camera that produces and grabs film reels from enemies and pulls them in. Enemies are slowly pulled towards you while in the cone but can possibly escape by moving faster than the pull.
Action!
Add stacks to a creature while hitting them with your gun, up to three. Action deals damage in front of you. The more stacks an enemy has the more damage it does. At max stacks you heal the damage you deal.
Aaaand Scene!
Showrunner begins levitating for a duration and demands attention from enemies as he begins dancing and singing. Activating this resets his cool downs and causes a constant spotlight on him.
His gun turns into just snapping, which hits everyone in the spotlight with a fixed fire rate of 1 shot per second.
Using Lights makes the spotlight area start to glow, after a small window the spotlight will intensity into a beam that deals damage and stuns for a small duration.
Using Camera slowly pulls enemies in the spotlight towards him instead of a cone.
Action hits every creature inside the spotlight.
At the end of the duration he does jazz hands as a crew member says "Aaaand Cut"
Apperance
Showrunner has the face of a comedy mask mixed with design details of a jester, with the mouth and eyes moving like a normal face. The mask meets a jester head piece with two antennas, one going left and the other right.
It then meets the typical suit you'd see of a show host during this time period, but the color scheme fits that of a typical jester outfit, with jester cuffs on his wrists and is wearing gloves. There is no glimpse of his skin at all, and nothing in the darkness of his eyes and mouth.
His Parry is a crew member coming out and yelling cut
Personality
Truman: He is barely glimpsed in voice lines and it's hard to tell if it's him or just Showrunner messing around, but sounds exhausted and defeated. Barely clinging on and trying to power through the ritual so he can finally sleep after years.
Showrunner: A very charismatic upbeat personality that holds themselves in high regard. They seem to know not only a lot about everyone, but also what their futures might hold (reference to jesters being seen as prophetic). His favorite genre is tragedy, so he very much enjoys playing with people only for them to end up with the worst possible outcomes. Although he is the host of his show, he always sees himself as the star of every performance he ever does and hates it when anyone else appears to be growing into a crowd favorite. He's killed a few guests simply to be the favorite again.
When near death, he will start to show cracks in his personality and be filled with frustration and pure animosity at the idea of being outdone.
