Hello!! I was suggested to post my idea here (even if it's still a WIP), buuut there we go!

Note: I am not good with designing mechanics and other technicalities, so I am open for suggestions and ideas on improvements and whatnot!

Now... Presenting my boy Lamort!!

HIS BACKSTORY:

Germain was a 14th-century French physician and researcher who studied the Black Plague alongside his closest colleague. While his partner grew increasingly obsessed and desperate, Germain remained disciplined and methodical, eventually succeeding where others failed: developing a potential cure through relentless experimentation on infected subjects and rats. But success bred betrayal. Consumed by jealousy and desperation, his colleague tampered with the research, quietly replacing healthy specimens with infected ones. Germain was unknowingly exposing himself to the disease. As the illness took hold, he continued his work, unaware the disease he sought to cure was already claiming him too.

When his partner demanded access to it to save his dying family, Germain refused. But not out of cruelty. His own family was suffering the same fate, and still, he would not risk giving them an unfinished solution. To him, an imperfect cure was worse than death. He chose certainty over desperation. In the final moments of his work, with only two perfected doses prepared for use, the sickness had already begun to take hold of Germain. Weakening but resolute, he chose to test the cure on himself. Lacking the strength to administer it, he placed his trust in the only man beside him and asked his colleague to inject it. Instead, the man chose himself. Seizing both doses, he kept one as proof and took the other for his family - determined to claim the cure as his own. Germain, too weak to stand, tried to stop him, but was shoved aside, crashing into nearby shelves. Glass shattered. Vials broke. Burning solutions spilled across him, searing into his flesh and face as he collapsed. His colleague did not look back. Alone and disfigured, in unbearable pain and with the plague consuming him, Germain reached for a nearby plague doctor’s mask and forced it over what remained of his face. He tried to crawl, to seek help... Anything... But his body failed him. He died there. On the floor of his own laboratory. His colleague saved his own family and left Germain’s to perish without aid. His name was erased. His work stolen. His bloodline ended. And in those final moments, as the pain consumed him and silence closed in, Germain felt no fear - only hatred.

Centuries passed, yet his soul never settled. It lingered, bound not by memory, but by unfinished vengeance. When the first Maelstrom tore through reality, it did not create Lamort - it gave him form. With no body to return to, his soul latched onto the only vessels it had known in life: the rats he had once experimented on. Flesh reshaped. Bone reformed. What emerged was no longer a man, but a reconstruction - part memory, part plague, part swarm. LAMORT. A vessel of disease, driven not by purpose, but by obsession. He does not seek redemption. He does not seek recognition. The cure he once created no longer matters.

What remains is a singular, festering objective: to hunt down every descendant of the man who betrayed him, and ensure that his bloodline ends where Germain’s did. What once gave life now exists only to take it. Drawn into the ritual, Lamort continues his work under a new doctrine - not to reclaim his name, but to erase another.

ABILITIES:

[ 1 ] - Doctors Order

A target is marked with a sigil, indicating Lamort is evaluating them. After "evaluation" which is like a quick delay, Lamort may disable one of the target’s abilities for a short duration.

The upgrades may include being able to disable more than one ability, and the ultimate at the 3rd.

This ability is point and click.

[ 2 ] - Painless Operation
Lamort throws a syringe that delivers a fast-acting anesthetic. On hit, the target is continuously getting slower before being slept for a short duration.

Upgrades may include decreased cooldown, ricochet to be able to hit more than one target

This ability requires precise aiming.

[ 3 ] - Final Diagnosis (Passive)
Lamort uses his cane for melee attacks. Hitting allies restores their health. Hitting enemies grants lifesteal and bonus damage against them.

This ability may have a longer cooldown on ally healing, and the upgrades may revolve around reducing the cooldown, increasing damage? Not sure.

[4 ] - Last Wish
Lamort summons a swarm of plague-ridden rats that surge toward enemies for a limited duration. (Perhaps something similar to Paige's ult, to get the image) Affected targets are infected and continuously spread the plague to nearby enemies while it persists. The closer infected enemies remain to each other, the higher the damage they take.
To avoid spreading the infection, targets must separate and wait out the duration at a safe distance from allies.

HIS GUN - THE CURE:

Only thing I can say about it right now, is that it may have similar fire rate like Viscous gun has. I've got no clue how to evaluate the damage deal and other thingies, so I am open for ideas!! :]
