What if the game's power crystals became a hero's Abilities—chaotic and fun?
Here's my Hero concept: Amif, a crystal plague survivor turned evolution preacher.
Since I can't draw to save my life, this is all text-based creation—no fancy visuals, just pure ideas.
Oh, and English isn't my first language, so I had an AI handle the translation—forgive any awkward phrasing!

Fate's Tale:
The "Crystal Plague," a horrific epidemic that descended upon the world alongside supernatural phenomena.
Those infected would be eroded from within and without by highly aggressive crystals, ultimately disintegrating in a terrifying self-explosion.
But that wasn't the worst of it—the scattered remains of the victims were still infectious, eventually transforming the infected zones into deadly crystal caverns.
Fortunately, the plague was contained and faded into obscurity 20 years ago. Its final samples were locked away deep within a research institute.
Hunter Amif, however, did not believe it was a plague at all.
In his studies, he discovered that the infected experienced an explosive surge in mana within their bodies just before death, and the final detonation was simply the result of being unable to contain the overwhelming excess of magical energy.
In other words, if the growth of the crystals could be controlled, it might unlock humanity's vast potential.

Naturally, such a madman was promptly expelled from the institute.
But unexpectedly, Amif somehow managed to steal away a sample and vanished without a trace...
Years later, he returned in a grotesquely mutated form, proclaiming his research a success.
Now, he steps onto the battlefields of New York to field-test his creations firsthand.
All while spreading the "Gospel of Evolution."
Appearance:
Amif wears tattered and filthy research attire, with crystals sprouting across much of his limbs, body, and even head—emitting an eerie, distorted glow.
A cruel smile twists his face, while his body twitches subtly and incessantly.
As he moves, he produces crisp cracking sounds, leaving a trail of crystalline fragments in his wake.
Weapon: Evolutionary Hand
Amif launches crystal shards at high speed from his swollen, crystal-overgrown right hand.
The projectiles follow random, spreading trajectories.
While the damage output is modest, it's lethally effective at close range.
Abilities:
-Sadistic Crystal-
Amif hurls a crystal that adheres to any surface. It absorbs incoming damage from nearby players and stores it as energy.
Upon reaching its storage limit or after a set duration, the crystal detonates, inflicting Spirit damage to surrounding enemies.
Maximum of 3 crystals can be placed at once.
T1: Reduced cooldown.
T2: Increased absorption capacity and explosion radius.
T3: Explosion generates shards that deal partial damage to hit enemies.
-Restraining Resonance-
Amif swings his right arm, unleashing a radial burst of clustered crystal shards that deal Spirit damage to struck enemies.
Affected enemies suffer reduced movement speed if they linger too close to Amif for a brief period.
Each stack of [Crystallization] on the enemy amplifies this slow further.
T1: Reduced cooldown.
T2: Increased effective slow range.
T3: Enhanced slow potency.
-Infection Spread (Passive)-
Ability damage applies one stack of the [Crystallization] debuff to enemies, while weapon hits slowly build additional stacks.
[Crystallization] caps at 6 stacks.
Enemies afflicted with [Crystallization] will explode upon reaching critically low health or death, dealing Spirit damage to nearby foes and applying 1 stack of [Crystallization] to them.
Explosion damage and radius scale with the victim's [Crystallization] stacks.
T1: Extended debuff duration.
T2: Boosted explosion damage.
T3: Explosions from max-stack victims apply 2 stacks of [Crystallization].
-Fierce Proliferation-
After a 0.6-second delay, Amif encases himself fully in crystals, becoming immune to all damage and ability effects.
In this state, he is rooted in place and unable to move or act.
A growing aura emanates from Amif, slowly expanding over time and progressively stacking [Crystallization] on enemies caught within.
Foes reaching max [Crystallization] stacks who fail to escape will fully crystallize, becoming immobilized.
Amif or allies can shatter crystallized enemies with heavy melee strikes for bonus damage and a short random buff.
Killing a crystallized foe doubles the buff's duration.
T1: Larger base aura radius.
T2: Strengthened random buffs.
T3: Each successful crystallization reduces this ability's cooldown.
