Backstory:

In the fiery depths of the 8th Hell, where obsidian flames burn and whispered secrets of forgotten worlds linger, two weapons were forged—Prefyx and Suffyx. Crafted by Obsidius for his Hell Marshall to maintain unyielding control over the 8th Hell, these weapons have sparked much speculation among the denizens. Many wonder why such powerful tools would be necessary in a realm already impervious to threats, leading some to believe that Obsidius had a higher purpose in mind, perhaps intending the weapons to serve beyond the confines of the 8th Hell.

No one could have imagined that, 4,935 years later, Prefyx and Suffyx would resurface in New York, seized by the hands of rival occultist gangs. Over the decades, these weapons had passed through the hands of seven different gangs, each ownership plunging the city into waves of bloodshed and chaos. The guns fueled relentless violence, escalating tensions with every transfer of power. Realizing the devastation they had unleashed, the warring gangs finally set aside their differences and banded together to curse the weapons for eternity, ensuring no one could ever wield their power again.

They summoned a dozen of the most feared forbidden-seal sorcerers, some smuggled in from distant lands, their eyes blindfolded so they could never see what type of weapon they were binding. In a dark, secret ritual, the sorcerers sealed Prefyx and Suffyx, their ancient power trapped forever, leaving the weapons to slumber in cursed silence.

The weapons proved resilient to magic-seals, but a smart solution was found. And Prefyx and Suffyx were successfully cursed to never be reloaded for 2 eternities. After the incantation was complete, there they were — Prefyx and Suffyx; now two useless pieces of Obsidian.

Decades later, these artifacts came into the hands of a prodigy; one of the teleportation sorcerers in the world, which can only be referred to as "the Vessel". He had discovered the key: the guns were bound by a curse that prevented them from being reloaded within the confines of our realm.

To bypass this restriction, one must open a portal to a realm of hell, reload the weapons there, and return to this realm at every reload. The process is perilous, requiring not only precise timing but also an extraordinary gift for teleportation incantations. Only those with unmatched mastery may unlock the true power residing in Prefyx and Suffyx.

Main Weapons:
PREFYX AND SUFFYX
Dual-wielded ancient revolvers each imbued with a different mystical energy.
Semi auto with good accuracy (similar to Lady Geist's gun but with better fire rate).
Reload Animation:
Since they were cursed to not reload in this realm, Vessel opens a small portal, inserts his hands into the portal along with the pistols, reloads them inside and brings them back to finally close the portal.

Ability 1: FORBIDDEN TRICKSHOT

Vessel slings his pistols for 0.3 seconds. After that, his next shot will fire an abstruse bullet with PREFYX, dealing weapon damage. If this enemy is above 50% health, deals bonus damage. Upon hitting the first enemy hero, an OBSIDIAN CHARM will bounce off of the target and into the air, slowly floating down.

The charm disappears after 2 seconds.

Vessel's next shot after that would be an arcane shot from SUFFYX. Shooting the obsidian charm with SUFFYX will cause the shot to bounce off and into the enemy hero that was hit with PREFYX, as long as he is within line of sight with the floating obsidian charm. The bouncing shot from SUFFYX deals extra damage if the enemy hero is under 50% health.
( THE IDEA BEHIND THIS: Use it when the enemy has 60%~ HP, Drop him to below 50% HP with PREFYX (the first shot) and then hit him with SUFFYX (bouncing off the obsidian piece) for maximum damage.

Ability 2: THROW BOLA

Vessel conjures a mystical bola and throws it towards the target location, rooting the first enemy hit for 2 seconds.
(Once thrown, the bola has moderate air speed and can be easily dodged. Vessel will have to aim at where the enemy will be instead)

ABILITY 3: DRAW

Vessel prepares for any incoming bullet damage for 2.5 seconds. During this time, he is slowed by 80% and unable to perform any actions. This can be canceled by Vessel at any time. Once Vessel receives any enemy bullet damage in that state, it would be ignored and Vessel would instantly draw and shoot a single shot towards the Attacker's head, dealing headshot damage from Vessel's bullet damage + the absorbed bullet damage. If there is an OBSIDIAN CHARM from the 1st ability already in the air, shoot an additional bullet towards it as well.
(Counterplay: Don't shoot Vessel once he is in DRAW)

Ability 4 (Ultimate): OVERWHELMING PRESENCE

Vessel phases out into a hidden realm for 2 times, each for 1.5 seconds, gaining movement speed and invulnerability while there but unable to hurt any enemies.

Pressing this ability again, Vessel can toggle out in and out of realms. This can only be done for 3 times. Getting stunned under while under this effect will cancel the ability as a whole.

(Possible combo: Use DRAW while phasing in, enemies would be baited to instantly turn and shoot you, activating DRAW.)

Thanks for reading! I know the devs have an interest in creating a gunslinger character in the future, this was my attempt at exploring that idea

Strong start on the theme, feels like LoL's Lucian + Brand. But a name as 'big' as Vessel needs an aesthetic nod to possessing multiple vessels (& you'll have to toe around Infernus). Per mechanics, mobility-less heavy damage steps on Seven's toes but maybe something halfway to Haze via stealth-ish evasion with this portals-to-hell business could work

Appreciate it, thought about the concept of "swapping Vessels" but that would just be a nightmare to balance and in general I didn't want to go that direction for a gunslinger character

For the reload animation, might be better for the hero to not reload at all but just cast aside his current guns and reach into a portal to grab new, full ammo ones

Overall I really like this idea and think it would be very fun to play :D
Appreciate it, as for the reload animation, it kinda ruins the theme no? That these guns were cursed to not reload in the current realm and then some guy discovered a "hack" that allowed them to be used in this realm, granted you are a gifted teleportation sorcerer

IDK it goes both ways, for me it's like the guns are cursed to not reload, so they just don't and because they're a gifted teleportation sorcerer they can use portals to get more guns. Also i was thinking about more from an in game perspective and i think this would just be smoother and look cleaner. If you have 2 portals up that's going to be taking away a lot of vision for some time while you reload instead of just grabbing a new gun and the portals close. Also to have clean animations the reload would end up being very long in total if they has to open portals, then reload and then close them.
Your idea though so if it doesn't fit for you then just ignore it :))

Doesn't have to obscure your view, for example the character could use "force" to insert the weapons into a portal and do it from afar.. Anyway I am pretty sure the devs got some sick animators like Jamal Bradley to make this work
