Great Talon dies in Seven ult?

Setup:
Team 1: Talon
Team 2: Seven

Scenario:
1) Talon hides behind wall.
2) Seven starts ult.
3) Talon is "in range" of seven ult
4) But still not in line of sight
5) Talon starts owl
6) Great talon dies/receive damage from Seven ult.

Variants:
1) Great talon is outside of range
2) Own flies into Seven ult.
Result: Talon does not receive damage

1) Talon is in range behind wall
2) talno starts Owl
3) Owl fly outside of Seven ult
Result Talon still receive damage (even far away from seven ult)

At first I thought this was maybe Storm Cloud proccing Lightning Scroll's delayed damage and that triggering Spirit Burn, but it would appear that GT's bird can literally be a valid target for Storm Cloud to damage GT.
