"Godkiller" is a meek, over-imaginative young adult who's in completely over his head. Similar to Paige, I like the concept of characters who just stumbled upon the supernatural, and were thrust into high-stress situations. He's somewhat inspired by Ezreal from LoL, and various 'over-the-top' characters I've seen over the years.

Gameplay-wise, he fulfills the 'melee nuker' niche that currently only Calico really belongs to, he uses high mobility to get in, deals as much damage as possible, then panic-buttons his way out.

In-Lore, he's a fairly unaccomplished young-adult, who one day stumbled upon something that changed his life forever; a magic sword, and the best part was, it was on sale! He wasted no time after his purchase, rushing back to his parents home, building himself a pair of 'beautiful' wings to take to the skies with. He knew of all the supernatural chaos going on, but a magic sword was on a whole different level, you don't hear stories about people finding magic swords and walking away as nobodies! It was only once he reached new york properly when he realized just what kind of situation he had so eagerly thrown himself into. With nothing but a discount-sword and edgy name, he tries his best to survive the ritual -- unsure what he'd even ask for if he completed it.

Primary fire: Impossibelis

A slow-firing, medium-speed projectile that pierces enemies, deals 60% less damage for each enemy pierced.

Ability 1: Heaven's Rush

An omni-directional charge, capable of moving up or down as well. Deals melee damage on hit. Multiple charges, pretty lengthy coldown.

Ability 2: Sun-Charge/Sun-Spiral

The first use of this ability is a 3-second channel where you hold your sword above your head (emits a loud 'shwing!' noise on completion). Afterwards, the ability changes to Sun-Spiral (For around ~30 seconds), a highly damaging melee attack that lifts you high into the air afterwards, acting as both as a combo-finisher and disengagement tool.

Ability 3: The "REAL" Parry

A passive that replaces the parry with an ability similar to Genji's reflect. Bullets are bounced towards the cursor, meanwhile (maybe just at higher levels) projectiles are given intense homing back to their original shooter. Melee attacks parried this way deal damage back to the attacker.

Ultimate: True Godkilling Art: Megadeath!

His only real long-range option outside of his primary fire, he floats up into the air for a moment, holding his sword above his head as it gradually grows in size, afterwards he sends it towards the ground, creating a massive explosion on impact that interrupts and roots enemies caught in the impact.

"Okay... But why?"
Throughout my life, some of my favorite characters are the losers -- the egotistical, oblivious, or simply unlucky folks who keep trying to do great things, but always just seem more ineffective than impactful. Deadlock already has a cast full of rejects, so I thought about the kind that didn't really fit so far. The one trope I came up with that I hadn't seen so far in-game was somebody who got in it way over his head, somebody who took that first bit of paranormal power as some kind of 'sign' to do good things... No matter how little exercise he's gotten!
Paige kinda does this already but like uhhh uhhmmm uhhh Drifter and Mina are both vampires so take THAT.

In terms of why a melee nuker, well, I just really like that playstyle! Genji, Magik, hell even Chomper and Venture, I just love the characters who can rush in, make a huge splash, and then have to try and get back out with their life still intact. I find melee combat to be a bit cheapened if you can just facetank everything and only have to worry about timing when you're fighting a whole team alone.

Besides, this is just a concept, the design is purposefully a bit barebones to allow for further interpretation and changing, I just thought making him as generic of a white guy as possible would be pretty funny, especially to contrast with all of the interesting people in-game already.

Also, his primary-fire IS purposefully misspelled. He named his sword wrong. Dumbass.
