Giving the magician a better identity (A rework idea)

Sinclair in my opinion just feels like the most soulless character with THE most arbitrary kit in this entire game so far which feels criminal considering they're supposed to be a MAGICIAN. I would primarily suggest replacing their ultimate, because that's the most tragic part about their kit and feels so lazily implemented, with a move that summons a big ass version of their top hat from above or on the ground that rains/spits out a bunch of random sporadic projectiles in a visual similar to fireworks that gives the enemy a bunch of random minor debuffs and your teammates a bunch of random minor buffs, Y'know, give both teams a REAL show instead of just unoriginally copying or counter copying one of the enemies ultimate.

Rabbit Hex is interesting because its the only ability that blatantly fits them thematically but makes for some of the most BORING gameplay to witness because it will mostly just be Sinclair and whoever is also near mindlessly chasing a rabbit running away because there's no stun or sleep CC to actually capitalize on it. so what I would try to implement is making Rabbit Hex being able to cycle through THREE different types of hex's (by alt casting) while renaming the ability itself to Magician's Hex:

1. Hex number 1 would just be the regular Rabbit Hex (with the same current CD) except change it where enemy's can melee (but take 10 self dmg when hitting anything) and also run away into the tunnels where the hex would last until they come out again. also make any debuff that affects anyone in the rabbit state last 0.4x as long

2. Hex number 2 would be a point and click ability (34 sec CD) that would summon three magician box's to capture a single enemy like this:

the boxes (with the untargetable enemy inside) would then each spin around violently and randomly (dealing 25 spirit damage during this time to the boxed enemy and 40 damage to enemies in the spinning area) until they stop and slam back together for an additional 40 spirit damage while opening to then spit out the enemy like this:

the hex part comes with the fact that the enemy movement input is now randomized (so that you can't simply learn the mixed movement which would null the hex part of the ability completely) and maybe have their POV be mirrored on top of this.

3. the last Hex ability (30 sec CD) would involve Sinclair materializing a giant hoop the height and width of 2 Mo & Krill's:

Sinclair would then send it out forward extremely fast for a short distance where it will then stop and stay stationary. if the ring itself hits any enemy's it deals 75 spirit damage. The Hex part comes in when enemys passes through the center of the hoop at anytime where they will be interrupted and HEAVILY slowed. If Sinclair or any allies walk through the hoop they will receive bonus speed, lowered cooldowns on ability's AND active items.

I have no qualms with Vexing Bolt. its fun :D (maybe have the tier 5 ap upgrade be able to redirect twice...?)

but Spectral Assistant would work WAYYYY better if instead of doing a straight line of auto tracking spirit damage it instead dealt the damage in a spirit cone burst similar to Annie (league of legends) incinerate ability. Spectral Assistant could also work with Magician's Hex (yaknow, capitalizing that Sinclair are a DUO) by having the Assistant in Hex 1 force the rabbits to their location by holding out a carrot. Hex 2 could have the Assistant levitate the boxes afterwards and chuck each of them at the nearest enemy dealing 60 spirit damage for each box (with 1.7x scaling (maybe have it to where if all three boxes hit, the enemy is stunned)). Hex 3 could have the Assistant kick the ring sideways (if you send it to them) to a nearby enemy for an additional 130 spirit damage while applying the ring effects (fully upgraded Magician's Hex could have this ring variant ricochet)

Spectral Assistant should also Assist in the ultimate by having them jump into the big hat to turn the ultimate into a omnidirectional light show with increased range and bonus spirit damage

Post this privately - as Devs are more likely to see, and community bias hurts the development of Deadlock. This is why some forums are private/public for this reason.

I will flag it to be moved over.
