no I only use regular mods, and that's perfectly legal. No mod gives me any advantage in the game.

Jeeez i hope no mods ever unban anyone ever again, the OP is using a MODDED client, who cares if he mods in farts for Mo, its a modded client, thats it, ban, good riddance, go next.
You can mod in louder footsteps and suddenly have better awareness of enemy movement, its a cheat, even tho it might be harmless, theres 10000 of ways to cheat without a literal aimbot.
You get thrown out of a casino for less.

Supposedly lots of people being banned for supposedly ""nothing"", somehow you and only you got another chance, and you proved yourself false the same exact day.
Some of us avoiding any mods altogether even if "everybody is using it!" and you didn't even have the slightest thought of removing your fuckin' cheats, let alone the mods! lmao...

developers are aware of mods being put into the game, so much so they removed some convars that were being used for advantage. They cant enforce client modifications like sounds but OP says dont uses advantage mods. Skins and UI changes are well known for over 2 years already. Its evident ban is not simply because its having mods

Idk, I understand a little bit of skepticism here just due to how shameless a lot of cheaters can be and have been even here in the forums.
But there are like, an order of magnitude more threads of folks claiming that they "definitely 100% ran into cheaters in their game" and "wow isn't it just so ridiculous that cheaters like this can just wander around games and ragehack like this????"
A lot of those "this person is defiinitely a cheater" posts are just folks tilt-posting because they got ultra-killed by an infernus with 5k hours on CS2 or R6S has really fucking good aim, but is stuck in initiate because they don't know a moba.
And also sometimes it's so egregious that the subject in question should have been turned into a frog right then and there.
The game is in early access. It's full of bugs. Some of those bugs are going to involve what info the game passes to VAC to flag it as anticheat, right? I mean, didn't Dota2 have a thing a few years back where they undid thousands of bans because folks was falsely flagged?
If you can't replicate something, it's not a bug. Unfortunately that means that if there's a bug with how Deadlock flags cheaters, it is gonna get replicated.
I'm gonna stay skeptical, but there's a real chance captain amphibian here might be innocent.

im all for publicly hanging out all cheaters with a billboard and cheat used so everyone can see.
and i know i know, they keep it secret and delayed so cheat makers cant act quickly, so whatever, delay the billboard announcement for a month. let the public people see that something is happening to them, would also help legitimate false positives to try their case i guess

This proves there's something wrong with the anti-cheat system. If I really was using cheating as some claim, it's impossible for my ban to be lifted.

Any modification to a game thats not official (you can edit textures so enemies are bright pink with indication of headshot hitbox) is a cheat. Valve is lax on this because mods are also creative and useful to create value - big surprise, most popular mods indicate flaws in game design, shocking right; that does not change the fact that all modifications are potentially cheats.
Midboss timer was added to minimap because it was abused by client mods that added it, its a sane addition, suddenly its not a cheat, because its vanilla client feature - and thats ok, but to pretend it wasnt a cheat before it became vanilla is stupidity.
