Concept: Gendarme is a tank designed to be an exceptional teamfighter, but struggle when caught out alone. A tank who sustains from dealing damage, but not through lifesteal.
Ability 1: Sword Throw (Name Pending)
Throw Durandal, dealing weapon damage, marking and slowing the target. A target that has been hit is immune to another hit for the following 20 seconds.
Mark duration: 6 seconds
Cooldown : 12 seconds
Lvl 1 Upgrade : Gain 1.5m/s when hitting an enemy (0.05 Spirit Scaling).
Lvl 2 Upgrade : This becomes a charged ability.
Lvl 3 Upgrade : Gives Unstoppable for 1s after hitting a target.
Ability 2: The Pact
Create an expanding AOE that deals spirit damage based on current barrier health, expending 90% of current barrier health. Targets that are marked by Sword Throw are rooted in place for 0.75 seconds upon taking damage from The Pact.
Cooldown : 24 seconds.
Lvl 1 Upgrade : +50 base damage.
Lvl 2 Upgrade : -10 seconds cooldown.
Lvl 3 Upgrade : Improved Barrier Damage Conversion and 20% reduced Barrier consumption.
Ability 3: Song of Battle
Passive
10% of damage dealt is turned into barrier health. Barriers gained this way last for 6 seconds.
Lvl 1 : Enemies that are marked with Sword Throw give 25% more barrier health when hit, the bonus lasting for the duration of Sword Throw’s debuff.
Lvl 2 : Additional 10% of damage is turned into barrier health.
Lvl 3 : For every 300 hp of barrier health gained through Song of Battle, gain 10% bullet and spirit resistance.
Ult: Sound the Oliphant
Allies within 15m share your passive for 10s, but do not benefit from upgrades from Song of Battle. Allies also share shields gained with you at 50% rate.
Cooldown : 150 seconds
Lvl 1 : +1m/s movespeed for allies in range.
Lvl 2 : -30 seconds cooldown.
Lvl 3 : Allies sharing shields now share shields at 75% rate.
Weapon: Durandal
12 ammo
Primary fire : Swing Durandal in a frontal arc, hitting all enemies within range. 1 ammo cost.
Alt fire : Fire a spectral sword, capable of hitting enemies at range. 2 ammo cost.
Health Attributes:
750 Base Health, 40 per boon.
Background:
Throughout all of humanity’s history of struggle against monsters and magic, there has always been one constant: The Gendarme.
Appearing without notice and disappearing after his work is done, the enigmatic Gendarme could accurately be called a master monster hunter.
But such mastery has its costs.
Bound by duty and ancient oaths, the Gendarme's eternal service is one without rest. His story serves as a cautionary tale of what happens when you pursue vengeance at any cost.
