Geist's Life Drain primary cast can target enemy players and NPCs, but the alt-cast can only target friendly players. It feels like an oversight alt-cast can't target minions, and it feels like a gameplay improvement to allow alt-cast to target enemy players (i.e. feed them life with alt-cast life drain before soul exchanging for maximum impact).
