Previously, Essence Bomb had the ability to stick to hit units. However, even after its removal in July, the indicator still sticks to units. Included is a short video demonstration of the bug in action (Video #1).
When the bomb hits terrain, it creates a circle around it to show the area of the following explosion. When the bomb passes a unit, the indicator circle is instead spawned around the unit or where it first collides with the unit. Either way, the indicator gets left behind and the explosion happens elsewhere (where the bomb projectile lands, obviously).
I wonder if it has something to do with bomb becoming "primed for explosion" when colliding with enemy heroes, not just terrain (Video #2).
