TLDR:
When spending gold with a bag there is a delay before the bag gets depleted/deleted from the game. (Look at the red vs green souls texts)
If you die with all your gold spent, whether by suicide or enemy - it drops your bag to the floor anyway.
Imagine having a 2,000 bag and then you buy a 3,200 item - then suicide and the bag drops and your teammate picks it up then repeats the cycle. This can lead to an insane income of infinite gold.
