Game sometimes boots up with widht and height of 0x0

Solved by putting

-windowed -w 1920 -h 1080

in game startup settings trough steam after a bit of tinkering

still have no clue why or what caused this.
issue arose about 2 months ago (haven't been able to play since)

you may want to check this .txt file, either delete or edit to reset graphic config. You have fixed with startup cmd but reseting this should be easier

I will say Deadlock gets confused if you're messing with custom monitor profiles and resolutions, so I would generally avoid that.
Like Playeroth suggested, it can lead to the video.cfg file to become unusable. Deleting it allows you to reset everything, at least.
On the side, I also think the game struggles with displaying what resolutions and refresh rates are available, but that may be somewhat unrelated.
