Game "leaks" info about in-game status that user has disabled on steam/friends

I noticed that even though one of my friends has their game-status set to be invisible/private, so that on the friends list I see him as simply online, I can still see his match listed in the watch tab when selecting "friends only". Not sure if it's really a bug, but wanted to report
