Game launches with a black screen (and a curser if hit escape) after today's update

Game launches with a black screen (and a curser if hit escape) after today's update. Everything was fine before today. I can hear my char running around and I can press escape to get a mouse curser but nothing else.

Full reinstall fixed this, but something to be looked into. Verify game files did not work.

same issue, currently doing a fresh install as well
