game freezes constantly after prolonged play

consistantly after about 40~ min of running the game
it starts to freeze for like half a second each time eaither I press tab or die
which really sucks since i'm usualy either trying to level up an ability or ping something and it just eats my inputs
more than once did I accidentaly casted an ability while trying to level it up
someone told me it might be a memory leak issue?
started happening after the old gods update

would love to hear i'm not alone in this,thanks

notes:
*restarting the game fixes it,but people don't always cooperate in pausing...
*after freezing there's a sort of "timer" where it doesn't freeze when pressing tab,seems to be like a minute or so

Observe if this lag happens only when you move your mouse or hit keys on keyboard.
Try disabling (or enabling) steam overlay.

If you are on Linux, try adding this as launch parameter:

LD_PRELOAD= %command%
