Game files is corrupt, need to verify game files

I'm getting this as well. Got briefly banned because the game complained about corrupted files right after joining a match. Integrity check was refusing to run and I had to reboot my PC to make it work.

Happened again in the middle of a match. The game now refuses to open and to verify the integrity of the files.

Match id: 20163661
Crash timestamp: 37:18

Same here with the same file "pak01.vpk". Right after a few seconds on the Rail, M-ID: 20289532, also resulted in a timed ban from Matchmaking...
Verification didn't work even after several steam restarts.
Managed to start the verification process after updating CS2.

Same thing been happening to me, .a .vpk file has been corrupted and cant relauch or verify at all. Somehow all the times it's happened to me I've been playing Abrams.

Bumping this thread.
This happened to me 3 patches ago, went away for a few patches, and is now back as of the latest patch.

Seemingly randomly the game will crash, force me to verify, and then get stuck at 0% while verifying. Usually takes between 5-10 minutes for it to randomly start working and actually verify. (Note that this does not happen with other games, verify will start immediately. Deadlock will hang at 0% forever, even after comptuer restart, steam restart (in task manager) etc.) This has caused me multiple lost games, and a lot of lost time. I'm a high rank player so this is kind of frustrating because I want to play but don't want my rank effected...

Hi,
that error ".vpk file has been corrupted" happened several patches before, now it's back and due these aborted games i received a ban again.

This is so stupid and no one has at least an idea how to fix it.

- reinstalled, changed even the SSD installation

2nd time 2h ban because of that error.

This has happend to me over the course of like 2 months at this point my bans have gotten up to 4 hours now would really appriciate a fix for it :)

Still a recurring issue, worst case scenario it will say that all files verify successfully multiple times in a row, only to hit me with this error on main menu multiple times after starting a match. Yeah this is the 2nd (third?) time I'll eat a matchmaking ban for it crashing and failing to verify multiple times. I don't know what the cause is for this, I think theres a solution if you delete the files in the log.

Same error happening here and banned as well. Seems like we are getting consequences and no input from the valve team on this matter. I've been reading multiple threads on the issue and no reliable solution from what I can find.

The best option that has worked for me is going into Steam Setting then Downloads and Deleting Download Cache, this will restart Steam but it runs the Download immediately and try to reconnect into your match before getting banned.

I must say eventually players will get perma-banned due to this and reviews will start to reflect this on the Steam store, some feedback is needed even acknowledgment at this point would be good.

I have now been banned 3 or 4 times for this issue since rebuilding my computer.

System specs:
DDR5 RAM
AMD 7900xt GPU
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor, 4201 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

Initially, I upgraded to the professional gpu drivers, but that didn't help -- still encountered the issue quite a bit.

Then I lowered the speed of my RAM to 4400Hz, since some csgo users seem to have found an issue there:

I was able to play quite a few games before hitting the issue again, but now it's back. I guess I'll try lowering the speed even more?

Can we get a workaround so that the files aren't locked (Download is stuck at 0%, as well as game-file verification)? The bans from this are getting longer, making the game unplayable.
